Update Notes

Note: The existing carnival synthesis node is referred to in-code as a 'Clod' and while this terminology doesn't appear anywhere in the interface yet, I will use it in these update notes to make things easier.
Update: New Berk carnival synth node. When you click on an empty area you now have a 50% chance to get a Berk instead of a Clod. I will add a way to hotswitch a node between the different synth engines later.
Update: New sampler carnival node (as yet unnamed.)
The only way to create a sampler node at the moment is to drag a sample into the carnival scene, either from the Sample Browser or the File Browser (I know it would be cool to be able to drop in samples from the input buffer but that is quite annoying to implement at the moment because of some technical debt. But I will make it work eventually.)
This node sounds best with drums and percussive samples in my opinion. With chords and tonal stuff it might sound a bit messy. I will probably add more different sampler nodes in the future.
This node requires an analysis to be run for the sample which will happen in the background the first time that sample is used in Carnival. If you drag in a very long sample then the node may be inactive (and grayed out) for a moment while it waits for the analysis to complete. I will add some kind of loading indicator to the node in the future.
Update: You can now vary the sound of a Carnival node, without affecting the other nodes in the scene, by selecting it and dragging vertically on the up/down arrows icon.
Update: Improved quality of Fudge resynthesis, but the sample analysis takes a bit longer now.
Update: Can now hover over the background tasks bar to get more information about what is happening in the background.
Update: Clod nodes will now sometimes enter a sort of "chaos" mode which just increases the intensity of some of the internal LFOs.
Update: Some subtle changes were made to the vocal synth code so the Berk and Tract plugins may sound very slightly different. The auto pitch wobbling behavior was removed. The transient noises that occur when the throat becomes unobstructed should hopefully sound a bit more natural.
Bugfix: Block baking is not triggered automatically when Fudge sample analysis is completed.
Bugfix: Snap Settings toolbar doesn't show up for some parameters where it should.
Bugfix: Carnival nodes sometimes have invisible glyphs.
