Hi everyone,
some confusion has arisen in the latest rules regarding grenades. Here's a unified and simplified set of rules regarding grenades, based on entries from pages 30 and 81 of the Augmented Edition rulebook, with redundant sections removed and the wording standardized:
Action Cost:
Throwing a grenade is a Special Attack Action and costs 1 AP.
Declare Target Point
The target can be a visible spot or a model within Line of Sight and range up to 8".
Accuracy Test
Make a Standard Test against Physical Skill.
Success: The grenade lands at the target point.
Failure: The grenade deviates (see Deviation).
Blast Effect
All models (friend or foe) within the Blast Radius on the grenade’s card are affected.
All affected models may React:
Dodge or Instinctive Reaction: Opposed Test vs. the grenade’s Attack Value (ignore TAC modifiers).
Success: No effect.
Failure: Take damage/effect listed on grenade card.
Fast Attack Reaction: If successful, you catch and throw the grenade back (resolve a new grenade attack). If failed, suffer the full effect.
Distance: 1″ per point the Accuracy Test failed by.
Direction: Roll a D10 — 1–2 (in front of the target) or 9–10 (behind the target); 3–5 = left; 6–8 = right.
Grenades stop if they hit walls or closed doors and detonate at that point.
A grenade that hits a vertical obstacle during deviation stops there and detonates.
Fragmentation Grenade: Damage 5, Attack Value 4, Blast Radius 2″.
Flashbang: No damage; Attack Value 6; Blast Radius 2″; targets hit are Stunned.
Gas Grenade: Creates a 2″ radius toxic cloud, causing ongoing damage per scenario rules.
EMP Grenade: Disables all cybergear within 2″ radius for 1 turn; no physical damage.

The term "Autistic Mode", used to describe a state in hacker combat, has raised some concerns. We propose changing the name to "Isolation Protocol". This alternative not only accurately reflects the rule's purpose but also fits the cyberpunk aesthetic.
