The incident occurred during an intelligence-driven stop of the delivery van he was riding in. Security teams suspected Kade of smuggling volatile nano-charges. While a sealed case of explosives was later discovered a block away, no forensic evidence ever linked him to the cache.
Frustrated by the lack of clarity and accountability, Kade's family, joined by dozens of local residents, gathered outside the Sector-12 security hub in protest. Tensions escalated when some demonstrators attempted to force open the foyer doors, leading to scuffles. Squad drones were overturned, storefronts vandalized, and chaos spread through the district.
Within 48 hours, looting and violent clashes engulfed Neon Spires. By the third night, the unrest had spilled into neighboring districts, and by the fourth day, it had ignited widespread turmoil across major metro-plexes throughout the Sleepless City.
