I always thought of it as a barren wasteland filled with premitive warrior tribes that lust for battle and everything even the land is on fire. Nope, we get instead hipsters tribes that seems culturally and technologically superior to everyone we met so far.
Xilonen especially seems to break a lot of that initial idea I had of Natlan. You see her riding rollerskates, whip out a mixing table during her idle and she's probably the closest we'll get to a fantasy Gyaru character. I thought to go a little further and add even more technology and culture to the mix for this art and its variations.
