Aglaea's new chair

Judging by how many times I've drawn Aglaea since her banner release, I think you guys will start to think she's my unofficial OC by now. And if you do I can't blame you, I don't think I've had as much fun drawing one character in a long time. Maybe this is why my friend, hews, tends to draw one character for weeks on end when they have their heart set on that character. I'll be honest, at this rate I might actually have enough artworks of Aglaea to put together an Aglaea specific artbook. Maybe I'll continue the trend for a bit longer in that case but we'll see if I run out of memey ideas for this greek inspired mommy.

Anyway, this idea was actually one of the first idea that came to mind when I was playing through Amphoreus. It was around the time when Aglaea tricked the player into closing their eyes to bind them with those golden vines of hers. Think of Kurapika using his Judgment Chains on a target if you're familiar with Hunter x Hunter, that's the kind of power Aglaea's golden threads have on a target. Once you've been wrapped in the threads once, you can no longer lie to Aglaea as she'll find out whether one is lying to her or not. That's probably why there's some JoJo memes of Aglaea being compared to Bruno Bucciarati who has the odd ability (Not a Stand) that lets him know one is lying to him by tasting their sweat literally.

I've gone off the tangent but you get what I mean!

Here are the lewd variants.

Caelus is a good boy and a good chair. Two in one deal for Aglaea!

Honestly, I don't blame either of you. I think it's best when you're having fun, too, so I personally welcome the artists I enjoy to give special attention to their favorites. It's fun to see what kind of character traits or themes you guys like to focus on and how those come out in the work based on the character and your style! The chains make me think of Wonder Woman's lasso of truth, and she's also got a bit of a Greek theme going on being an Amazon and all; not to mention, the "super dramatic blonde with a regal bearing and powerful golden threads" also makes me think of Gilgamesh from Fate (though in his case, rather than compelling you to tell the truth, they simply restrain you; the more divinity you have, the more impossible it is to break free. Heaven's Chains, Enkidu). It's a really fun archetype that's got different takes on it!
