Summer Update

Hello everyone. Hope you've had a lovely vacation. I regret the radio silence but scaling back on my commissions debt had left me hard pressed working on artwork that I cannot share on Patreon.

I am happy to see the numbers growing thanks to your continuous support. I am aware we don't all make the same amount and I do not hold any grudges against anyone who set out to pledge any less. After all, it could be two or five dollars you spent on somebody else, but you have decided to give it to me. And... that makes me smile.

In order to bolster the pursuit of creating my comic, I have decided to save up for a 5th Gen iPad Air with a 10.9 inch screen. I have been hurting for a way to draw on the go for a very long time, since keeping your daily flow is crucial for an artist's work ethic. You've all expressed plenty of support towards my decision, with commission requests flying at my doorstep on a daily basis, which I can't say isn't astonishing.

On another note, I've also ordered a couple of Andrew Loomis books in order to fill in some painful shortcomings in my art savvy. My inability to garner a larger Twitter following over the course of the Spring had lead me to believe that something was terribly wrong with not just with my fundamentals but with the way I perceive art in general. However, I believe my ability to thrive in adversity is one of my most remarkable strengths and instead of giving it all up, I have come out swinging and stronger than ever before. Clearly Hornet is here to stay.

Aside from commissions, I have more projects lying in wait that I plan on finalizing as soon as I can afford my new drawing equipment. These include another two wallpapers featuring Hornet, emotes for the Discord server and last but not least, new art assets for the Patreon page. Hopefully I'll see you all then.
