Superchub Struggle #111

Air Travelling - This is my second time I have travelled by air after the pandemic started.
It is very obvious that airline is NOT big people friendly with their very crammed seats me being a very big person would be considered an inconvenience.

During these trips I have noticed several things that is very inconvenient to us big people that doesn't affect others.

For one thing .... Walking. One of the HARDEST thing to deal is walking. Now of course depends on the airline one chooses some can offer "rides" to get to your gate at no additional cost some airlines will have one of these "rides" ready for you other times one just have to ask if there are any available.

For me I have been lucky and unlucky my first flight in 2021 it was before the holidays so the airport was PACKED and so when I asked for an attendant to drive me to my gate unfortunately they didn't have any available at the time (a lot of older people were using them) and so I was forced to walk and it was a struggle, I waddled as slowly as I could for me I heat up very easily and end up sweating profusely (it's not a good look when I go through security)

Then having to waddle to my gate which so far they have been like at the very far end of the airport! Normally it would take an average person minutes to get to the farthest gates for me it took more than 30 min! What's worse since wearing masks is mandatory I struggle to breath well (I have asthma) and wearing a mask makes it feel like I have something preventing me to breath so I breathe even harder to get the air I need.

All of this just makes it hard to get around, though I am luckily that I don't really have a lower back problem otherwise that would mean i would struggle to waddle and stand for long periods of time and at an airport it's not really simple in finding an empty seat especially finding one that you can fit in and don't have arm rests.

For me I came somewhat prepared.

I packed a small portable fan, drinking bottle, handkerchief, and giving myself lots of extra time to get to my gate.

This is something a heavyset person should think ahead.
