Re Hyunjin and the deep love SKZ have for their Stays - it might not quite be up your alley for the channel, Max, but he wrote a song at the end of 2021 with Felix and I.N. for Stay called #LoveStay and it is a beautiful expression of their love for their fans. Yes I was about to say that he’s maturing that definitely could make a person “calm down” he’s definitely still silly and can be super energetic at points but even during the Maxident era I’ve noticed he’s been a lot more “calm” compared to other comebacks. Idk it kinda reminds me of Taehyung. When he was younger 18s-early 20s he was super goofy and energetic. But as he got older he matured and still has his silly moments but nothing compared to his younger self lol. Maybe Hyunjin is just going through his I’m becoming more of an adult, so I should act a little more mature ? Who knows ☹️

Just really love hearing your breakdowns on communications and personalities. It's fun to see how you perceive things and if it matches up with my thinking. I also really appreciate you are a Han stan. I think sometimes he gets lost in the mix because he is so well-rounded. I don't know if anyone mentioned this but I saw some content where IN explains that growing up people thought he was mean or didn't like them when he didn't smile (a case of rbf) so he learned to smile more. I think some of it is learned behavior for him. Hyunjin is definitely one of the most emotional people and has definitely made himself very vulnerable and exposed and while he is very loved he is also one of the members that is most judged and attacked, and almost lost his career due to cancel culture. It drives him but it also profoundly impacts him too.

To add to that, Hyunjin is an introverted, only child. In the early days, we saw an excitable, slightly hyper kid. I think the stuff he has gone through mixed with his nature, as well as natural maturing, contributes to his calm demeanor. Plus in interviews, most of the time he looks at the other member through the monitors or is reading the prompters and they do several interviews in a row. That is an exhausting process to be "on" all day long, especially for an introvert. Even watching any of the variety shows they have done or behind the scene MVs or SKZ codes (or even the talkers), you'll see his sillier more energetic side.

Hyunjin used to be an open book. He's a very emotional person and a hopeless romantic. And in the past he used to just let all of that out, he was probably the most expressive member of them all. But he has gone through a lot over the past 2 years and that has really changed the way he shows himself in public. It has messed up his confidence and made him quite closed off and serious at times. He put up a protective barrier. And he doesn't really want to be in the spotlight as much as he might have used to. But he still has very silly sides to him and he can also be quite clingy at times. He says he doesn't like skinship but there's a lot of video material that def proves him wrong there xD I think if you watch more different kinds of content you'll def get to see this different side of hyunjin at some point (:

I love what you said about Seungmin and how he is the glue. I think this is very true. I would suggest that you watch the Bang Chan and Seungmin 2 Kids room. This episode would give you a bit of insight into both of them, something I've not seen elsewhere in interviews

I find it very interesting how easily you were able to pinpoint Hyunjin’s serious side. I think it’s because you're more used to watching their sit down interviews. It took me a very long time to see how serious he can be. In Skz talker, game shows, or more fun content he lets loose a lot more. He allows himself to be silly and playing into jokes. I think if he was on his own and without his members he would be that very stoic and almost withdrawn person that you see. With his members he is known for being very dramatic and loud showing the whole world how he feels in the most silly way. I think in order to see that side of him you would definitely have to watch more when he’s able to express himself more. I don’t have any good recommendations but maybe someone else will.

Thank you for your reaction. Han absolutely deserves to be simped over. I love that you got to see another side of Seungmin and Lee Know. Hyunjin is the definition of love, it’s always so interesting to me when people say that he’s closed off bc he is known for having the deepest emotional response, the members talk all the time about how his strength is his ability to feel emotions and to display them through his art or dance. He is the world’s biggest Stay, he is the first to talk about the other members and hype up all of their achievements and strengths. I’m not sure if you noticed but he wrote and produced Taste, which makes this his 5th song he has produced, including two solo songs, and 3 SKZ songs. His growth as an artist is something that we are so proud of bc 5 years ago he was told he was just a pretty face. Now he has full choreographies, full songs that he has written and composed and now full songs he has produced.

Absolutely loved watching this. I would love to share my thoughts on a few things you said. Firstly, yes I.N does smile a lot (maybe it's just a habit? My bf also smiles when he talks but it's not necessarily because he is happy lol he just.... does it? I have also asked him why but he doesn't realise he is smiling lol) he has said in the past people told him when he didn't smile, he looked scary, so he started smiling more. There is plenty of content out there where he doesn't smile, I think the main stuff you have watched has been interview type things. But yes, I.N does stick up for himself. He is pretty savage at times lol! And in regards to him being shy and quiet, I used to think that but I don't think that anymore, he is definitely not the loudest in the group but he has many loud and chaotic moments hahaha A really cool show to watch would be their most recent "Idol Human Theatre". I feel like this show accurately demonstrates all their individual personalities really well, they are so comfortable and happy in this show and it really feels like you are seeing their natural goofy selves. It will also help you to see a different side of Lee Know & Hyunjin (Hyunjin being one of the goofiest and most dramatic members of SKZ hahaha). As always, I appreciate the effort you put into these videos, and it's always really cool to hear your thoughts on the boys! It will be fascinating for you to revisit some of your earlier content in around a years time to see if your thoughts on the boys has changed the more you get to know them! Seungmin and Lee know are definitely a case study lol. They do have a unique dynamic.

I will always love any SKZ content you do! You've done so much 2 kids room, but the next time you're up for it plz do Seungmin/Lee Know. They have such a different dynamic than any other pairing. I loved your analysis of how both of them don't express everything they're thinking, so to watch them together will be a real case study.
