Jin x Youngji's Interview (Uncut: 1 hr 15 mins)

I'm catching up on old videos that I didn't get to before and I really enjoyed this one. I like when you include more personality analysis!

Something else, when it comes to Jin saying he doesn't like showing certain sides of himself, I think he is referring to depression and not always being happy-go-lucky. Ultimately, I think Jin is just a very private person. To be let into his inner world, you have to be someone he loves, respects and trusts on a deep level. I don't think its that he doesn't like appearing vulnerable, he is too comfortable in himself for that, I think it feels like an intrusion to him and one he keeps protected very effectively by setting boundaries with people.

Something I love about Jin is how cleverly and effectively he sets boundres with people. He does it in such a gentle, but firm way. I think that perfectly explains how he acts as the eldest brother in BTS, he has boundaries with the younger members, they all call him Hyung or Hyung-nim and I have only heard them speak to him with informal honorifics as a joke, that Jin playfully tells them off for. There is also a pretty funny video compilation about Jin being the only member who can control Yoongi, it is very out of date though and Yoongi is a lot happier than he was back then so their relationship has changed to a far more relaxed one (just because Suga is more laid back). But his style of setting boundries is really impressive, I think we can really learn from it. In regards to Jin's discomfort, I really relate to his reactions around her. I am very introverted and I am very calm and centered. I find it difficult to be around people who are as loud and enthusiastic as Youngji because their energy shakes my own equilibrium. I basically want to back away from them, and put some space between them and me. If I were with someone like Yoonji, I would have similar body language to Jin.

Loved the reaction! The game they were playing is very serious to Jin and he is extremely competitive with it. We got a snip of him pling with some other members in ITS 2 and he won every time. Also, if I'm not mistaken the last time he was at a 3rd party shoot was 5 years ago for Law Of The Jungle. Maybe you will enjoy watching it sometime if you are interested.

I feel like it all depends on the environment and the people he is around when it comes to his openness. When with Bangtan and army, Jin is very open and chaotic and extroverted. But he is very introverted otherwise. He definitely has to warm up to people before he really opens up

Lmao I just thought this whole episode was hilarious. I would love to see how each of the other members respond to her too. This break for them getting to do individual activities has been so fun and cool to see what things they choose to participate in (since we know they could pretty much do most things they’d want to haha). V fun reaction! Funny to see jin on his back foot which we don’t see often haha

I think jin misunderstood her when she said “you have a tiring personality” she meant that his personality must be tiring to him because he has to adapt to others all the time. but instead of correcting it she just went along and apologized lol
