I just watched this interview of Soobin with another idol from Korea (she's a 19-year old rapper) but it really showed another side of Soobin imo. It was very raw and fun and the interviewer did a really good job I think! Here's a link; https://youtu.be/iQjEehs6-dU

You should check out TXT on Idol Human Theatre to see them more relaxed. It's just them chilling with their Managers.

soobin was really shy before he got a job as an mc on music bank...since then i feel like he became a lot more easy going and confident

I agree haha

Ah I have such a soft spot for txt (and I think this is a reason why people love them so much) because they’re all still clearly growing into their confidence and personalities and it’s satisfying to see it develop overtime. I think we’re about to see a big jump in their development once they finish their first world tour (though it just started), as most of their performances thus far have been without an audience. The world tours always bring extra confidence to these groups anyway, so having both at once makes me so excited to see their post tour content. For hyuka, I’ve started rewatching old txt videos to see their communication styles more, and the rest of them seem to be super unaware or uncaring about the cameras in their waiting rooms in the behind behind the scenes videos (unless they’re in a mood to be engaging) but I notice he is the most likely to engage first. They all of course will when someone comes up to them, but hyuka seems the most aware of engaging with them unprovoked. He’s still a little awkward imo, but I can see him leaning into the classically charismatic role in time. I mentioned this before, but it’s so funny to me that as soon as it’s time to speak english, it’s really as if he feels the responsibility the most to take the lead, so a nice catch from your side. Disciplined is a great word for taehyun. When he’s in work mode he’s responsible and takes it seriously. Sometimes in formal settings he struggles to let loose, but as people have said, when it’s not formal he is mischievous and playful. To me, even though he’s intellectually mature, he really does feel the most innocent sometimes. Soobin was definitely having a tougher time keeping up in this, but what I like about him is that he doesn’t feel like he has to prove he’s the leader from the front, he quietly takes care of things more often than not, and does it diligently. They really all gravitate towards him for comfort which makes sense because he’s very grounding and they live chaotic lives. People question his leadership at first, but he leads from the middle and from behind and can trust the outgoing members to lead from the front. It’s good because it takes some of the weight off of his shoulders and they all get the opportunity to be heard. It’s a dynamic that they’re all comfortable with it seems. He can for sure take the lead from the front when he needs to, but he doesn’t seem to need to prove it to anyone. It’s easy to see him as shy, but he’s just comfortably quiet. Yeonjun leads from experience. If I remember correctly, the entire 4 years he spent as a trainee, he was always ranked first in company monthly evaluations in every category, so they definitely look towards him for approval from this angle. When he’s performing, he’s in his element and it’s obvious to everyone. Beomgyu sets the tone of the group to me. The energy they’re feeling is very much the energy they come with most of the time, but if beomgyu is up they are too. He’s interesting to me though because he goes up and down the most. In this type of content (when the language barrier isn’t an issue) and in variety show content, he takes on the mood maker role (and he’s more aware of it than people think), but when it’s time to get serious, he seems the most nervous to make mistakes and gets really really into it. He grows a lot on people because of the sort of duality where he comes off as really confident but can be the most self conscious and introspective as well. He’s not always what people expect and it’s intriguing to a lot. I’m always curious to see how they turn out. For a bunch of extroverts, they still have a lot of potential to lean into it, and they’re very eccentric in the way they engage. Everything about them and their dynamic just makes sense, and then you try to analyze them and none of them have a classic personality. As people and not idols, I don’t think they’re extremely hard to read, but they just have a group dynamic (communications too) that feels untraditional and different when it comes to celebrity groups, yet it works really well for them. They sneak up on people. Its as if you wake up randomly one day and you’re like “let’s chill and watch the txt variety shows today” and they work their way into your heart with their infectiously calming but happy energy. You talk about mood contagion a lot, and I think about it every time I watch them now.

i feel like taehyun is having more fun when the activity is not so formal and structured.

Carlota Ornelas

always happy to see txt on your channel!

lizzy

I don't think you have Seen enough content where they are having more fun. Taehyun is Not THAT against having fun. Quiet the opposite He is very cheeky and cute but also a little savage.

Don't call me.

Yeah soobins INtrovert was so evident here. And everyone else is Extrovert

Asre

Taehyun has a great passion and gets things done when he puts his mind to it. But he is actually easily a goofball, not exactly jumpy goofball, but he plays tricks the most and teases members and fans the most. You will see that in their variety show TO DO more because they are more fully themselves there than in formal interviews especially English ones cause they don’t speak it
