BTS' RM x Jimin - Communication Skills (Uncut: 1 hour)

It's so interesting how jimin changes the way he compliments between each member of the group. With someone like RM who doesn't like to take compliments, it's fun to see him switch to throwing out facts as compliments. When you state a fact, rather than your opinion about somebody or something it's almost impossible to reject that as a compliment because it's also a fact. So it's interesting also for me to see the way Jim and changes his approach depending on who he's talking to. That's a really difficult thing to do.

Like seriously! I’m re-watching pandemic content and subtle hints sprinkled here and there are now making complete sense. I mean didn’t catch the context then but now it’s like a watching it in a whole new light.

One of my favorite BTS moments is in this, when Jimin talks about their youngest member and RM says "ah, Jungkookie" and Jimin goes, no the real youngest and Namjoon immediately understands and corrects "ah, Seokjinnie".

about namjoon having a hard time opening in up, i feel like he's way more open (or pushes himself to be) when he's alone talking to us through livestreams/logs or in his music, but rarely when he's with other people. he's very aware of the power and the effects that being brutally honest can be, and i feel like that defines whether or not he does it but out of everyone we've gotten some of the more raw insights from him

This was such a good video, thank you for your insights. I love how Jimin is such an empathetic communicator. I was also wondering if you had heard about J-Hopes interview with IU on her show Palette. I know some other patrions have mentioned IU to you. She is a singer songwriter who has the popularity of Taylor Swift and the respect of Adele. She has a show on youtube where she interviews other artists and recently interviewed J-Hope for his solo album. I love her interview style because she comes across as very sincere and like Jimin is a very empathetic interviewer. She and j-Hope had a calm, gentle kind of chemistry and it was so refreshing to see her interview style. Though I think it has ruined me from the often over-the-top interview style of late night American hosts. She also interviews SHINee. I feel like it would be a great way for you to "meet" IU while also learning more about the artists she interviews.

Jimin seems to really love showing love. He's so good at it. The small things of encouragement like you said. The attentiveness to others in times of need. He's literally the biggest hype man the members could ever ask for and he does it so well and subtly. I don't think he actually knows he's doing it. It just his love shining through and you can see it in his eyes. The pride in the others. He's on his way to Chicago right now to support Hobi on his Lollapalooza performance. He must be thinking Hobi would be nervous since he's never done a whole show by himself without the others. I can just see him watching from back stage smiling waiting to congratulate Hobi and give encouragement.

The whole Be-Hind series is very interesting. I always enjoy their group get togethers but the one on ones in that setting is exclusive and memorable. Each dynamic is unique and you get a glimpse of their distinct bond towards each other. In this interviews they might seem awkward at first, but once they get into that space- they ease into the convo easily having that trust, admiration for one another. Seeing the comments- I join in the thought regarding RM and JM’s friendship being underrated. In one of their Vlive’s together, they talked about that they spend more time together more than we think & that they are great conversation partners. Be it their behind the scenes, BV episodes, VLive’s, Weverse feed, IG short stories, etc. you can sense their closeness. Just like all the members, Jimin has a lot of respect and admiration for Namjoon. Ea member has their own version of closeness based on their personalities. I think Jimin’s empathy, appreciation, sensitivity is recognized and appreciated by his brothers. RM in another Vlive talked about how he was touched by Jimin thanking him and recognizing his hard work I think it was. Each member has a story of how they connect which is pretty special when you hear them talk about it. Their brotherhood is very strong. It is always a treat when we get a window to RM’s thoughts and feelings. RM’s recent podcast was such a treat. I also get inspired by his IG a lot! All members have their thing that makes them special. It is wonderful when we actually discover more about them when talking about themselves or the others. Enjoyed your reaction- it was quite insightful & inspiring!

Excited to finish this! But so far, yes, it's so clear the strong relationship they have with each other. RM and Jimin have often said that they can talk for hours with each other and they'll just go on deep tangents.

And to finally end this saga of thoughts…. I think I never seen RM that talkative in such a comfort place … I could feel his pure and raw excitement and joy talking about those topics. He frequently is talkative and speeks with a lever of energy. Mostly overseas, when his leadership position and as the only fluent English speaker weights over his shoulder. But In this scenario he is like a little boy talking about his favorite super hero. It was very endearing. PS. can you imagine RM’s podcast speaking that excitedly about art and all the things he loves ? WOW!

And for the Starting the the question with an compliment. I do this sometimes, even if I don’t need to, people who knows me well know that If I am asking you something, it’s because I admire you and I deeply respect your answer on that matter. I don’t just ask or even engage just for the sake of asking or engaging.

3. About Jimin’s being comfortable with people open up to him. I think for him is very natural. He is always very in touch with his own feelings. I understand him , I love listening to peoples feelings , I am fascinated by that. My boyfriend, always “blames” me because He used to have many conflicts, mixed feelings, hurt, all that alone, in silence… ( which was very frustrating to me, to see him suffer alone). He always wore his heart under his sleeves, but he used to hide it, but I could always see right thru him, that he was hiding under the mask of this broody, sometimes aloof “alpha male” when in reality his insides were in a turmoil of inner conversations, when he actually feel things with the intensity of an artist. (maybe equals really recognize each other) Now, after many years with me … he gradually and naturally became the opposite, he can’t shut up about it. 😝(not to everyone, obviously). And to turn the page was very positive for him. And I think all this very intriguing and fascinating.

Rm is so eloquent is always a joy to hear him speak his mind, and with jimin I just love their Combo. It’s about how they are mutually endeared by one another, perhaps In this more formal setting is not as obvious but whenever they did Vlives just the 2 of them I felt they have a special tenderness for one another. Specially the vlive when when they talked about jimin learning English with boss baby and what art means to Rm 🤣🤣 also the one where they did coffe
