"LOVESONG" was the TXT song that hooked me, as well. I won't copy it here--maybe on Discord someday if I work up the motivation to join--but that song affected me deeply and convinced me to pay attention to them. They're one of two Kpop groups I consider myself a proper fan of.

I think it's pretty telling of the quality we're used to with BTS performances when it's the literal World Cup and we're complaining about the sound quality and camerawork lol. Jungkook also said he couldn't hear himself that well during his performance. But he absolutely killed that 🤩

They had a lot of hate their first year because they were the second group under bighit, after bts of course. So it was a lot of pressure, and they were getting sick a lot that year so comeback was halted a lot. I think it’s just something they didn’t want to focus on or talk too much about. And a lot of their career has been online cause of Covid, and it really hit them hard because they wanted to so bad to see MOA’s (fans) and they hoped every comeback and also for a world tour. Their first concert was online I remember. This is a video during October of 2020 their second year and 3rd comeback. It was for their comeback show and their staff suprised them with a room full of messages from fans and a video message from fans all over the world. Love how you had your txt moment, I had my moment after learning their story line and hearing them talk about the lyrics to some of their songs. It really touched me. Literally all txt songs are sad when it comes to the lyrics and meaning even though the beat might sound upbeat and fun. Like crown and blue hour you reacted to before, they seemed “happy” but the lyrics are just soo soo sad and relatable. And also txt open way more and a lot on weverse and during their vlives, also in magazine interviews available online, cases where they are talking to miss directly directly, cause it’s like us talking, cause of the commenting and stuff. They have talked about obviously their hard times from when they were debuting and I know it was a bit harder for them to open up about things like that because of so many eyes watching them during debut, their first year (2019) was a very very tuff year for them.

Wow, it's so interesting hearing people say that this was the song that made them get into TXT (I think there were a couple that said it during the stream too), and even more interesting that for some it was this exact performance (it was this one for me too). I'm glad we got to check it out on this livestream :)

Hi Max, this was such a good livestream! I can totally relate to your view on TXT! I've listened to their music since they debuted but didn't really consider myself a fan until this very performance. And I think in a previous livestream you asked if there are any similarities between the way TXT is promoted and BTS is promoted . And I would say that it's actually the kpop industry at large that has changed the way they market their groups based on BTS' success. Before BTS blew up, it was rare for kpop groups to be active on twitter and other social media, or have YouTube content the way BTS do (bangtan bombs and bangtan episodes) or have their own variety shows (like Run BTS). Most of these unusual ways of promoting were because they couldn't promote through the traditional avenues most other big kpop groups used. I think newer listeners of kpop don't realise that BTS are actual legends, not only because of their success but the way that they revolutionised the kpop industry. You should check out Stray Kids MAMA performance that they just did. They closed the first night and JHope closed the second night but SKZ was impressive.

Oh man, finally got time to watch this. It’s so cool to see hobi’s behind the scenes, the amount of hard work he put in and also enjoying it. It’s great to see Jimin too. Oh idk if you know Max, hobi actually got I think two awards at MAMA today and he performed More and Arson. He gave speech too. A total superstar. And jk just killed that stage. It was so good. One of the things I love about their solo stages is that they are going out of their comfort zones. Hobi at lalapalooza, Jin at Coldplay concert, jk at World Cup and even yoongi at psy concert, they are not just performing in front of armies. They are performing in front of other audiences too. That takes a lot of courage. Can’t wait for namjoons album drop! Just saw a teaser for it
