He was a bit off and distracted, but like you said, he still made effort to engage. He's generally a low-key guy who loves making people he's close with laugh. His humor is very much on the more dry and sarcastic side though. He has his moments of opened, but I think there's a lot that he holds and reserves for himself and the people he's closest too. NCT 127 has been running nonstop preparing for stages, recording for their repack, flying to tour, and they even went all the way across Korea and back doing fan meetings within maybe two or so days? Anyway, needless to say, he was likely exhausted as they haven't had time to rest. They worked through Christmas day, even.

You're not wrong, he definitely seemed super tired here. Not totally "on", when you can see in other interviews he often makes himself the life of the party. If anything I thought it brought an interesting dynamic to the interview, made it feel a little extra relaxed.
