It has strangely led to an increase of trainers that got "accidentally hurt" in increasingly strange or ridiculous ways. In your case, you "accidentally" drank your Gulpin's poison, and will sadly be bedridden in the volunteer nurse's care for a week!
Little did you know that the next day, she'd be replaced by Alexandrei Molotovish, "the Iron Claw of Orso", ex field medic.
