Bikini Car Wash Company II - Night Rhythms - Who's the Man? (Air Date 3/25/95)

(Bridge between Bikini Car Wash Company II and Night Rhythms is 4:00:01 and between Night Rhythms and Who's the Man? is at 7:38:01)

A lot of the tapes in the vault only list dates and no tit-les, especially for Drive-In Theater. I don't know what I'm going to get until it's been transferred, so it's a happy lil' JB surprise. This one was one of those. I chose it bc the date is so close to now. I wanted to see what JB was showing almost exactly 26 years ago, and Bikini Car Wash Company 2 is our answer! :)

The letter in this one (delivered by Honey in an outfit I so wanna copy for next season!! :) is kind of amazing bc we get many like it all the time now, requesting that we show Rawhead Rex. I'm going to keep pestering him till we get it, for all the folks who want it now, and for the folks who wrote in about it back then. (And if he did show it, as he says he "thinks" he did, I am so definitely gonna find it!! :) xoxo

A million years later, but I am also on the hunt for In The Heat of Passion. For some reason I never pulled the trigger on buying it on Ebay. I think for some reason it's become a white whale on my monthly VHS hunts.

I am amused/a little sad that I am doing the 2021 version of what I did in 1995 whenever Joe Bob mentioned a movie that was new to me (pretty much all of them). Instead of writing it down and asking a confused video clerk if they had it on my next visit (sometimes it would result in a shocked, "Huh. We do. Didn't even know we did"), I am adding it to my Amazon watchlist. I won't lie, I really do miss the pre-Internet days of a physical tape hunt. In some cases (e.g. In the Heat of Passion) it is still an eBay search (thankfully I have a laserdisc player, which sometimes results in a cheaper way to watch things).

Aww, my husband bought me Rawhead Rex for Christmas a couple years ago. It was part of a themed gift of good-bad horror. I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but it is one of the more bizarre Barker stories, and that's certainly saying something.

I can't wait for Rawhead Rex to be on The Last Drive-In. I love that movie! I also love The Bikini Car Wash movies but that is a completely different kind of love!

Rawhead Rex is available on Shudder, so it looks like the chances are good :)

Rawhead Rex is the new Halloween III---it has to be shown lol
