The Sleaziest Movies in the History of the World #1: Blood Feast

Here's a lil' bonus for you bc I felt bad about not having the time codes ready to go for the last post.  🙃

This was the very first video release of the movies of Herschell Gordon Lewis and Doris Wishman. They were rescued by a friend of JB's (Jimmy Maslon of Hollywood Book and Poster Co., a store I used to worship but sadly shut down a few years ago), who asked him to find a creative way to unleash them. Only a handful of these films were ever released under the Sleaziest Movies tit-le, but JB says they filmed intros for a lot more. I'm hoping to run across the ones we haven't gotten to see yet, but for now please enjoy one of my favorites, Blood Feast.

(We got to show this one during the first marathon...Here's a look back at my goofy-ass Fuad Ramses tribute. 😋🖤🖤)

"You'll recoil and...SHUDDER!" Weird how things work out sometimes :)

I was introduced to Blood Feast through TLDI, and all the lore and history behind it makes me love it so much.

That was epic! Does JB still have the tongue, or was that property of The Movie Channel?

Awesome 👍🤠👏

So glad to see these! Keep it up Darcy, you’re doing Gods work.

I have this on VHS I love it!

I loved this VHS with all my heart and carried it with me from high school to college like some kind of half-assed Johnny Appleseed. "Fuad Ramses has lopped his last limb. The falcon has molted. The fat man bowls alone. But, the drive-in will never die."

my favorite line "The sensitive story of Fouad Ramses, Maniac Egyptian Caterer"

Love the blood tidbits! I grew up not too far from Peoria, IL and might've been to that mentioned drive in. Love these videos!

Nice, I've been looking forward to these! Also I've been meaning to ask about this series; when I researched it a while back to find what I could I found that several of the releases (I believe 18-22, for some reason also no one seems to know what movie volume 13 was either) were planned and printed but never released, so hopefully the vault unearths these lost gems!

I feel like there’s still a B missing.

You're doing the Lord's work, Darcy.
