Happy Friday, Mutants! Here’s a lil’ quickie to help ya have a happy weekend! ❤️ This one seemed appropriate for now for many reasons, but mostly bc we are officially going to Crypticon Seattle soon and I so can’t wait for that!

As a lil‘ bonus, here’s a look at some of the old school “spam“ JB used to send out to folks (sent to me by Ben N…Thank you! ❤️)

I often get messages from people asking if JB’s been hacked bc he always asks everyone  for their home address. I’ve tried to explain to him why that’s a lil’ weird, but he said he’s been doing that for 30+ years and he ain’t gonna stop it now. 😋 At least maybe this can help explain his motivation for it. From time to time he still sends this sorta thing out, so if you give him your mailing addy you never know when you might get some good old fashioned JB junk mail. 😉❤️

He's only ever asked me for my e-mail but yeah snail mail is pretty special.

As someone from El Lay, I find it ridiculous when people whine about outsiders moving in. Now I’m the outsider in a red state that has the “natives” upset over possible demographic changes.

“Let the people in!” I love this man.

Let the people in! That was a great rant. Especially if they stop moving to TN. Dang yankees... ;)

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 nailed it!!

The best part of this rant is that it so relevant. My hubby and I had just gotten into an argument TODAY, over how much our quiet, central Texas neighborhood is being over taken by out of state plates. Yes, mostly California, but non-Texans. That being said, I have traveled extensively and my husband is Texan born, Californian raised. He is on the "get outa my state and go back where you came from" side of the argument, I am concerned about the impact this migration is having on our infrastructure but as humans we are migratory beings. We travel for both work and pleasure. Now that we all live in Covid-land, does it really matter as long as the area is sustainable and people can just acknowledge that we are all neighbors. Just saying... 🖤❤🖤

Awww. I’m glad I got to send you happy mail! 🥰❤️❤️

It blows my mind how much of this (great) rant is still relevant.

I guess I'm just old-fashioned. I love snail mail. Don't get me wrong, emails and social media have been amazing, but there's something special in receiving something in the mail. Someone, took the time to hand write (or typed and printed) something, bought stamps and envelopes and then made time to get it in the mail for you. That's time, money, and effort. I was so excited to receive my chosen perk. Yup, I knew what it was, but it was still something from the TLDI Team. 🖤❤🖤

Funny how some things never change

There's nothing better than unexpected and unusual mail... It almost makes it worth walking to the mailbox every day.

JB messaged me on Twitter once a while back asking for my mailing address. He’s not mailed anything to me since asking, but now that I know he does this, I feel honored to be part of this rite of passage. 😆

Good rant!
