Really enjoyed this. Really wish I was a member during the watchalong. Would have loved to hear JB's commentary.

I grew up in Wylie. I was born after it happened, but I still heard of it at a fairly young age. Used to walk past the house every day walking home from school, and had friends that lived in the neighborhood, so we'd peek around it and spook ourselves out.

Same here. I received by DVD months ago but nothing else ever arrived. I mean, I don't really need more stuff, but it is a curious thing.

I pull the videos up on my phone and use screen mirroring to watch on my Roku.

I got the audiobook. Will peruse both. I just wish I could have joined the watch party. I think someone either has to add me or I need the name of the server.

Loved the book. Listened to it on a business trip pre-pandemic and it really stuck with me. Very excited to watch the movie!

I had absolutely no idea what to expect but WOW. I'm trying to figure out why this didn't get more traction. It has impact to me that's on par with Silence of the Lambs. Barbara Hershey kicked this role out of the park, what a force to be reckoned with.

Barbara Hershey was in this! Oh snap. I remember in the early nineties staying with my grandparents and stumbling on this one night on PBS of all places. They didn't have cable, so options were limited back then.

It's a really interesting story about a suburban housewife who committed an incredibly violent brutal axe murder (like there's any other kind). Happened in Texas in a very small town. The housewife and her victim's family were friends - kids played together. Families went to the same church and were members of the same church groups. JB noted that the crime scene was awful - just awful. I did the audio book - Audible. It goes into more personal detail about all of the people and their motivations. It made for some great driving home through So Cali traffic jams.
