Saw JB this afternoon and gave him my solution. I also proposed using colored tape. He said he was just going to write numbers on the pieces where they meet.

That’s exactly how my old Xmas tree went together 😃

As someone who works at a sign shop this story tickled me. A smaller retractable banner would be good for a one day event. Can't wait to see this huge banner in person one day!

Simple solution to make banner assembly fool proof: color code the ends of the pipes where they meet. Give your assistants the diagram and have them assemble it. At every point where 2 sections meet, wrap 2” painter’s tape around the pipe on either side of the seam 1” from the center. Spray paint that spot on the seam between tapes so that the ends of both pipes on either side have the same color 1” ring. Make each joint a different color, that way there is only one right way to put it together. This will speed up the process and give you guys more time to get people through the meet ‘n greet line.

Love these stories , the Connie Chung one was my fav . JB and Darcy and entire TLDI crew work hard at these things . I was at the jamboree and felt sorry for them it was 90 degrees and 90% humidity and they worked most the day and night doing photos and signings and more . They really go all out at these appearances .

i loved seeing you both this weekend even though i was super bashful-d out. i seriously did the best i could. i traveled 6 hours from massachusets in the passenger seat of my car over the giant bridges and crazy traffic that makes me scared to even be in a car! but just getting to see you both in person made it all worth it. next time you are close enough for me to visit once more ill be there ^_^ oh! and just for the record , i didnt even Notice your banner. i was way too overwhelmed just being near you ;)

I've had to put up marquees where there were about half a dozen of us all trying to work out where it all goes. This is with the diagram so I feel your pain.

Lol. You do what ya gotta do! At least someone helped y'all put it up!! Btw I love listening to any story JB wants to tell. Even the hassle of putting up a banner!!!
