I do think so far this is their best as you said it's more a comedy then serious and I do enjoy the humor in it. I haven't had time to watch the ending becuse apparently my family things it's easter and I need to be social. Hopefully they don't rush it like they did in their other series. :) i will find out Sunday when I have time to watch it.

About the friend not going home with them though, I think that might be because he said he was planning on staying for a second round of drinks so I'm guessing Seol Won just assumed he didn't want to go home yet. That doesn't make him any less dense about his friend's feelings though π Overall I kind of interpreted this series to be more of a romantic comedy than just straight up romance, which is why I think the characters tend to act so exaggerated and do stuff that doesn't really make sense. I personally find that kind of charming, just because I haven't seen many BL's that focus as equally on the comedy as they do on the romance part. Of course that doesn't make it any less cringe worthy when they are invading people's space or being super awkward, but I'm at least able to enjoy it more while laughing at it.
