I hate to say this, because I don't necessarily like Seth Andrews as a podcaster or an atheist, but... I have to say that he's a good example of how people can go from thinking all these terrible, awful things (he mentions liking ann coulter), but grow out of it and become a better person over time. I can relate to that so much. You can be born into a family or culture that teaches such awful things, but grow to be a caring, helpful, and thoughtful person.

2020-08-06 06:59:31 +0000 UTCGreat episode! I was the one who sent in the opener quote this week, so it was pretty fun hearing it in an episode! And yes. We locked EVERYTHING down. Even fast food. That's right-- no McDonalds. Wasn't essential. We had very clear communication. Though lest you think us perfect... Just check out what the national party has been up to lately. Opposition for the sake of being opposition. And fringe parties are seeing an uptick in the election which-- yes, by the way, we have an election right now! Next month! IN UNDER FIFTY DAYS! It's looking a lot like Jacinda is going to be able to govern alone and the National party (The opposition) keeps having leadership crisises while polling terribly because people aren't exactly up for hearing about how a government that's been doing so many things right in multiple crisises over the past three years is "bad, actually". They're trying to do the trumpian things and it's losing them votes. Somehow. Miraculously. But we'll see how things shape up after the actual election.
