Edmontosaurus - The Cow of the Cretaceous

Edmontosaurus was a large, herbivorous dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous period, around 73 to 66 million years ago, and one of the last non-avian dinosaurs to roam North America. Belonging to the hadrosaurid or "duck-billed" group, it measured up to 12 meters in length and weighed several tons. Its broad, toothless beak and battery of hundreds of tightly packed cheek teeth allowed it to efficiently grind tough plant material. With strong hindlimbs and a muscular tail, Edmontosaurus could walk on both two and four legs and likely lived in herds, migrating across floodplains and coastal lowlands.

Each illustration actually takes me several hours, sometimes even days, to complete. I often step away from a piece for a bit and then return with fresh eyes to catch any details that need tweaking. The main reason for the frequent posts lately is that many of these paleoart pieces were created months ago. At that time, I was primarily focused on my speculative evolution book, Life of Tomorrow, and only posted content related to that project, although I kept making dinosaur illustrations in the background, especially for commissions. Now that I've shifted back to sharing paleoart, I have a whole catalog of finished (or almost finished) illustrations ready to go. I'm also working on new ones, especially for the book. I'm currently aiming to post one every three days, which gives the impression of quick turnarounds!

Stunning piece! May I ask for roughly how long you work on pieces like these? You seem so fast with posting them
