Well, I felt like showing you a little bit of this. This is part of the canon divergence AU. I came up with this when I read the translation of that radio station thing they did and he said that he liked the mountain. Remembered where his mother’s grave is, and asked myself “well, what if he wanted to live in the mountain?” Which was impossible with the canon so here we are. The only reason I could think Koujaku would willingly leave the island again to go live to his mother’s hometown was something like ‘something doesn’t go well either with scrap or in the tower’.

Scrap isn’t exactly what makes Koujaku go insane if you remember, so I thought that emotional and psychological vulnerability that it leaves him with could change the way he views his future in the island. (I have yet to decide if I want it to be IN or OUT of scrap when this happens, either way, the point is that it’s just something in the middle that at any moment could go extremely wrong).

He feels so extremely bad about everything that happens in Platinum Jail that he thinks he’ll only keep hurting Aoba. This was the reason why he wanted to keep him out of his problems, and something that still haunts him as we see what he thought about Aoba touching his tattoos in the shower, but that’s after scrap helped him clear his mind. But this time that doesn’t happen, so it’s a fear that just keeps constantly growing, and the situation (filled with stress and no time to think) doesn’t help. Now starts the part I wanted to illustrate.

So basically he ends up panicking about it. Koujaku needed to think, he needed peace and calm, and what better place than one that reminded him of the best memories and things he loved. He needed to be alone, and he needed to keep his distance from Aoba or nothing would change in his head.

I spoiled enough already, I’ll keep everything else a secret and explain as needed if this goes the right way. Lot of drama about tricky thoughts!!! He’s so real for that. I really needed the agnst and exploring their thoughts, issues and feelings in a different situation is lots of fun to me. Don’t you think they rock the fur. Their brains are so smooth when it's about their feelings.
