The Support Group.

Natti and her mom entered the mall and her mom asked what she wanted to look at first Natti said she would like to check out the sports gear. When they were at the beach her sandals were okay, but she thought that some light athletic shoes might be better as her sandals were always getting tons of sand in them and they were becoming more troublesome as they felt like they were always falling off.

They went into an “Action Sports” store and they looked at all the shoes and asked a salesperson what they thought. The young man seemed just a few years older than Natti and he was all for showing Natti what they had. He told her that he had the same problem and he showed her a new product, “Sand Socks.”

“Here is a new product that we just got in stock on Friday, and they have been really moving fast. I think they are going to be the next big item for summer. They fit very snugly, are very flexible, have a hard plastic sole, come in many colors and designs, and come in 3 sizes for women, men, and children.” Natti thought that they were just too cool. “Hey look mom this one is pink and has red lips like someone has been kissing my feet.” Her mom picked up a pair and thought to herself, “What a great idea.” The young man continued by saying, They are very flexible and when you get to the beach and you want to take them off to go into the water they are so flexible you can stick one in the other.

If you notice how tight they are that will stop any sand from getting inside the ankle. You can roll them up one inside the other and stick them in your pocket or bag. They will keep your feet cool and well protected no matter if you walk on hot concrete or sand, and at $12.00 a pair you can’t go wrong.” Natti bought a pair and then bought another pair for Tara.

Her mom also snagged a pair for herself.   She told her daughter that these would also be great for the wintertime. The young man said that they are great for anywhere where you don’t want to go through the hassle of putting on a large heavy shoe such as the pool, beach, or just in the backyard. They ended up getting two pairs for her mom, two pairs for Natti, and two pairs for Tara.

They searched through the store and looked at the new electric bikes, the new sunglass designs, and the beach bags. They were doing what many people do all the time, and it is called shopping. Natti had never thought much about it, but she was finding out just how much fun it can be with that special someone. Her mother and she took pictures of each other sporting a novel sunglass design with two flamingos that had their necks intertwined right over the nosepiece. They were very cute but at $29.00 just a bit much.

They paid for their purchases and walked out of the store just walking along talking, window shopping, and generally enjoying each other's company. Natti told her mom about the conversation that she had with Tara and Megan earlier, leaving out the part of Tara explaining how she spent her time after getting back from the beach.

The center of the large mall aisle was divided by concession stands that sold all sorts of merchandise including jewelry, cellphone cases, handbags, sunglasses, and just anything that you might want to buy. Natti and her mom had been browsing for about an hour and a half and were currently looking at sunglasses to compare with what they saw in Action Sports when they both heard someone call out her name. Mother and daughter turned and looking in the direction of the hail they saw an older lady and a younger girl that could have been her daughter or even granddaughter.

“Mom! I think that’s Megan.” Natti walked quickly ahead of her mother, and Megan walked just as fast to meet her carrying two shopping bags in one hand and one in the other. Getting close Natti greeted her saying, “Wow you look fantastic, I mean totally tox girl!” Megan stopped and did a little twirl saying, “Oh you really like it Vivian bought it for me. She is so sweet.” Natti got closer and was checking out her short flared dark purple pleated skirt, very tight pink body suit, and dark brown platform shoes with what looked like a two-inch heel. But what was grabbing her attention was her cute haircut.

It was cut up from the neck on the sides and with a lot of tumble curls from the top. It was perfect for her. There was something and it stopped and topped all the changes, “You’ve been to  Under Secretary haven’t you? “I have, Vie took me. Oh, Natti I’m so happy, this is better than all the dreams I’ve been dreaming my life up until today.”

By this time Natti’s mom and Vivian were walking up and joining the two young ladies and Megan started the introductions, “Vivian, this is Ms. Silvers, Natti’s mom.” By that time the two ladies had just picked up the gauntlet, “Hello I’m Vivian Billings and.” “I’m Alicia Silvers, Natti’s mom, but then I suppose that you already know that”, Ms. Silvers told her.

They both shook hands and Ms. Silvers told her that she knew her husband and that she was his client about 11 years ago, and she was very impressed by the actions that he took at the beach yesterday. She also added that she wanted to thank both her and her husband for all their help adding, “The outcomes would have been much worse if your husband and you hadn’t gotten involved. When Natti told me I tried to look calm but I was very upset.”

“Oh don’t be concerned with thanking us, we were glad we were able to help”, offered Mrs. Billings. She then continued, “When I heard the vile things those inebriated people were saying and then the way that the establishment’s representative came over and started violating their rights asking them to leave for just having a good time, it’s shameful. We were actually going to leave but then stayed because we enjoyed hearing about all the fun that they were having. I have to say it took both of us back to a much simpler time in our life.”

Natti stepped forward and offered her hand and introduced herself, “Mrs. Billings I’m Natti and we weren’t formally introduced yesterday, but I do want to thank you so much for helping the group and Megan. She is a good friend and part of our little family, and I don’t know what I would do if someone would have hurt her.” Mrs. Billings after shaking hands with Natti stated, “Oh don’t you worry my dear, no one is going to hurt Meggy here when I’m around.” As she said that she reached out and put her arm around Megan’s shoulders pulling her in close to her.

Megan smiled so large you just couldn’t help but smile in return. Megan surprised both Natti and her mother with her acceptance of Mrs. Billings's touching and praise.

It was Megan that broke the moment of silence as she said, “Here Vivian let me take that bag and we go over to the food court and get something to drink or at least to sit down for a few minutes and we can all talk.” Natti spoke up and said, “don’t be silly I’m not carrying anything let me carry the bags for you, Mrs. Billings.” The two ladies followed the younger girls over to a large area that had many tables encompassed within chrome metal railings on the two sides that weren’t bordered by fast food concerns.

They found a table and set down the packages under the table asking the ladies what they would like to drink. Her mom said that she would enjoy a cinnamon cappuccino, and Natti asked her if she wanted it iced or slush-ed.  She said slush-ed sounds very nice. Alicia leaned a little toward Vivian and said these are really good here, you should try them. Vivian thought for a moment and then said to Natti’s mom that sounds very good, and turning to Natti said would you please bring me one as well, Natti told her that it would be her pleasure.

Natti started to walk away and Megan walked with her to purchase the drinks. When they got out of earshot Natti looked a Megan and just said, “Meggy?” Megan defended Mrs. Billings's desire to call her Meggy simply saying, “Hey it makes her happy. Natti you won’t believe what she’s been doing all afternoon. First, she took me to get my hair styled, and to get these breast forms and all the underwear she has bought me. Then she bought me a couple of skirts, and tops and shoes. I finally told her that she had to stop and you know what she did. She turned back to me and begged me to let her buy me stuff. She told me that she didn’t care if I threw it away the next day, but for me to please let her buy it for me. And that’s not all look at this.” Megan looked over to where the two ladies were sitting and then lifted her arm pulling back her sleeve. There was a small watch styled like a charm bracelet.

Megan ran it down for Natti, “She told me that she wanted to get my ears pierced and I told her that they were already pierced, and then she said that I can get another set, so I got these”, and she showed her some cute little silver studs with a pretty green crystal set in each one. Then she bought me these and she motioned to some delicate silver chains hanging from tiny silver hoops laying along her neck hanging from each ear. When I thought we were done she bought me this watch.”

Megan now looked much more worried than a few minutes before and continued, “Natti I’m just kind of worried that she is going to ask for something I won’t be able to give her, and then what will happen?” Natti advised her to not worry about something until you know it is really going to happen. You don’t know that she is going to ask you for anything, and you know that these are good people. You saw how they helped us out yesterday.

What if that cop arrested you and put you in juvenile detention. With the way that you were dressed yesterday, they would have had a field day with you. But you aren’t you’re here with me and looking so fry! Megan smiled and did look to the side turning her head this way Natti followed her gaze to the large glass storefront and saw Megan looking at herself. She smiled at her friend's admiration of her reflection in the large window glass.

Natti ordered the 4 cinnamon non-fat cappuccinos and made sure to say that they wanted that slush-ed which meant that all the ingredients were added to ice and whipped up in a blender. Very cold, and very good. They brought the drinks back and they sat with Vivian and Natti’s mom for a few minutes when Natti noticed that Megan was looking at her every so often.

It wasn’t in a way that you could see anything out of the ordinary. The two older ladies were talking about how delicious the drinks were, how Vivian was surprised at the selection in the mall, and about easy it was to find what you needed. She offered, “In some malls, it seems like they are arraigned so you have to walk from one end to the other.” Natti finally stood up and said, “Megan and I are going to check out the concession booths, I’ve got my phone if you need me. Would you like for us to take your bags out to your car so you don’t have to worry about them”, she asked Vivian.

She said that would be very nice and she gave Megan the code and asked her if she could remember that? Megan said that she could and then Vivian pulled her close as she was picking up one of the bags and slightly hugged and glanced at a kiss on her cheek.

As the two young girls lugged the bags out to the car and Natti mentioned to Megan that she seemed like a very nice lady. She also added that all in all she was very happy that she and her husband came along just in the nick of time. Megan lead Natti to a golden green tinted Audi Q7 SUV and she was notably impressed, but then she is the wife of a very successful attorney with his own firm so there is nothing wrong with enjoying what you work for. Megan told her friend that when she came to pick her up she had to come to the door and she said that she was ready to go, and then turned and said goodbye to her mother.

Her mom asked when she would be back and she told her that she understood that the support group should be over by 9PM so she should be back by 9:30 at the latest. Her brother was laying on the couch and while watching a game show on the TV made the remark, “So the freak is going to a group with a bunch of other freaks, figures.” Natti, I tried to get her out of there before she could talk to my mom anymore but she said to my mother that she had nothing to worry about and that she would take care of me.

Then my mom told her what she told me back on Saturday, “I had a son and then all of a sudden he wanted to be my daughter. I didn’t want another daughter, I wanted a son.” I interrupted her and told her that she still had Leo and that now she would have two daughters, and a son. Natti I was so embarrassed at the way that she was acting. She started that clothes crap next, saying that she wasn’t going to spend a dime on girl clothes.

Then she went into that Christian teaching from that hateful pastor Robinson, “The pastor at church that you never attend said that the bible says that man should not lay with man and that  anyone that tries to change their gender is an abomination under god.” I tried to get her out of there as quick as possible but I think she was shocked by my family’s attitude. She tried to tell my mom that she should be more understanding and that she once had thought the way that she did. Well, my mom wasn’t going to have any of it and started to yell that she didn’t need to be understanding and that if I was going to continue on this path then I could go and continue someplace else.

Then Vie and I left and as we drove away I turned to her to tell her that I was sorry about that, and she just pulled over to the side. She grabbed me and hugged me and told me that she was the one that was sorry and that she would be there to help me all she could, and that nobody was going to hurt me. Natti it was like I didn’t understand who would want to hurt me, oh yeah my brother would like to smash my face but then he always wanted to do that. Maybe I can come and crash at your house tonight, will you ask your mom for me. Natti told her that her mom would want to call Megan’s mom and make sure it was okay for her to stay with us if she agreed to it, but that she would ask. We can’t have you getting your face smashed.

They went back and was checking out the concession stands, and it was Natti that noticed it first, and then whispered to Megan while showing her a phone case. Look at those two guys over my left shoulder. Megan did and Natti told her they thought we were the prey for the day. Megan thought that was so cute, and the two girls walked hand in hand to collect their adults. Natti’s mom was wanting to leave and so they left Mrs. Billing’s and Megan sitting in the food court finishing their drinks.

As they walked out Natti told her mom about the conversation that the two girls had about Megan staying over at their house. She said that she could, but it sounded like putting a band-aid on an amputated leg. It was not a long-term solution, but she could stay the night. They just had time to drop off their small bags and freshen up a bit and then head over to the first meeting of the support group.

Natti had texted Tara and they stopped by her house which was on the way to the meeting as it turned out and picked her up to ride with them to the meeting. The parking lot was filling up with cars, and the building itself was much bigger than any of them thought. They found a space and walked in with 15 minutes to spare. Right after coming in, there were name badges that you could pick up for those that had preregistered.

If you didn’t want to give your name, there were some that were printed with guests. You could sign in but you didn’t have to. The two young women at the table said that there wasn’t any pressure. Tara found hers and Natti’s and her mom’s right next to each other. They went in and saw all their friends there. It was kind of easy as they were all standing around talking with each other and with Hayden and another young woman Denise.

Stephanie was there with Remy, Cyndi with Carla told her that Denise was their sponsor. She also caught up with Heather who was double dressing with Bailey. “That is such a great idea”, said Natti to Tara. Like the last week of school, they had dressed alike in a maroon dress with a peasant blouse. Laura and Karen were there with her parents and two sisters.

Karen had never been considered by boys as dating stock, but now the couple was clearly interested in each other. Sarah was there and it was clear that Shyla had her brand on her. Danielle accompanied by Fiona drew a lot of looks and attention. Not at first as might be thought of as being the only interracial couple there, but because of her height (well over 6’) many thought that Fiona was an MTF trans person, and that Danielle was the CIS female. Megan was there with Mrs. Billings, but she seemed to be the happiest person in the world as she came skipping up to Natti, “Oh I don’t need to spend the night at your house.

Vivian fixed it up with my parents, and I’m going to spend the summer with her. We got a suite at a hotel and we will stay the night there and then pick up all the stuff from my room tomorrow. Oh, Natti this is just all working out great. I’m so happy that I think I might cry. Oh and check this out, Vie bought me a new phone. She held out a new iPhone in a pretty pink color. I’ve never had such a cool phone before in my life, and it has 256GB, isn’t it pretty.  Vie says that she has a room that would be just perfect for me.

I don’t know what’s going to happen after the summer but for now, I know I’m going to be very well off.” Then she leaned in close and whispered, “I’m not certain of this, but I think she bought me from my parents. I’ll bet my parents didn’t get enough for me.”

The group then got underway. There was an area that served as a stage and was on rollers. It had been rolled out into the center of the hall and Hayden and Denise were the first to speak. There was the Introduction of some group members that handled a lot of the admin functions. They didn’t really need to advertise as the internet did most of that for them. Hayden had been in the group since it first got started about a year ago. She explained how the group worked for the new attendees, “Here we don’t actually have an administration or leaders. We see that something needs to be done and we get the job done. There is a parent body but they pretty much just stay out of the way.

From time to time they will contact the group through our website by posting on the admin board and you can see all of them there as we never take them down. If you see something there and you want to get involved you just reply back to the message and it will come out and we can address it at the group. Now we only have one announcement and beginning this Thursday at 5PM until 7PM we will have clothes fair. If you have clothes that you don’t use any longer and won't give away or sell bring them and we will have some tables set up and you could help others. Obviously, if it is raining then we won’t conduct the fair.”

Denise was the next speaker and she came on the stage and was followed by 6 other people. She introduced the 4 therapists and 2 endocrinologists. Together they made up the Trans Miami Health Center. One of the therapists stepped up and introduced the 3 therapists and indicating one specialized in FTM but since only about 8% of the people that sought care were FTM she usually saw MTF as well. They also introduced one of the endocrinologists and she introduced a video explaining the different drugs that they used in male-to-female transitions and the pros and cons of both.

She added that after the video she would answer any questions that the video didn’t answer but didn’t want to go into detail about them as this was just for informational purposes and wasn’t meant to replace a consultation with a therapist, an endocrinologist, and a medical doctor.

The video began and explained the most commonly used medications are estrogens and anti-androgens. The video touched on how estrogens are commonly administered. The video continued explaining that the anti-androgens spironolactone, bicalutamide, flutamide, and finasteride are also commonly used in trans women who have not had an orchiectomy. These medications block the effects of testosterone, resulting in decreased erectile function and allowing estrogen to develop typical female secondary sex characteristics. Finasteride, however, specifically targets dihydrotestosterone (DHT), not testosterone, so it is not as effective at lowering total testosterone levels.

Lupron could also be used instead of anti-androgens to block endogenous testosterone production. Lupron is typically given intramuscularly every couple of months and is very effective at blocking total testosterone levels. It works very well for teens and for those that have not experienced male puberty, however, it can be difficult to obtain insurance coverage for it, and is otherwise fairly expensive out of pocket.

After the video, the questions ranged from if the effects could be reversed to why they weren’t covered by the many insurance companies and plans. After the questions and answers were finished the group was broken up and people could get refreshments, talk to the therapists or one of the endocrinologists, or just talk to others. One part of the group is to network. To find someone that has your interests outside of transitioning and that way you could help support one another. Also if someone lives close you could carpool and that way save on your gas and reduce your carbon footprint.

There were lots of good people to meet and talk to within the group. Natti was talking to one of the therapists and when she told him that she had an appointment in three weeks he gave her a number and told her to call tomorrow and he would get her an appointment before the week had ended. Natti turned excitedly to her mom exclaiming, “Hey mom, check this out Dr. Beyer just told me that I could get an appointment with him before the week was out. Isn’t this just too cool?” She turned back to the doctor and thanked him for his help.

Tara came up and Natti and her mom were talking about how friendly everyone was. The main topic of conversation for just about everyone was the summer and the Cos Con. Hayden as one of the main admin volunteers was very busy, but she still had time to check in on, “Her Girls”, as she called the girls that she sponsored. It was clear that the group was winding down and the squad just seemed to form up without anyone calling the members together.

“Oh Megan, that is so cute, did you get that today? Where did you say you got it at”, which is about the way lots of the conversation snippets went in the group. Natti found Megan and asked her and Mrs. Billings if they would like to go and have something to eat with them after the group broke up. Vivian came up and the plans were starting to be laid down.

Natti called her mom over and she came with Tara and began to discuss where would be a good place. It was decided that Sharkey’s Diner would be the best place. They always had good food, we were open 24/7, and had lots of room.

It was one of the best places in town to eat if you were going to eat late at night, or early in the morning. It only took about 15 minutes for everyone to say their goodbye’s for the evening. On the way over to Sharkey’s Tara made the comment that she was totally blasted by their look of Megan. She told Natti that she didn’t believe that was the same girl that was crying and so afraid yesterday. She seemed so much more sure of herself. Natti told her that she was now finally the person that she had been hiding.

She told her that Megan had said that she had been dressing for a long time, but nobody knew but her sister. “Tara she told me that her sister let her keep some clothes in a bag in her closet. I guess you could say she just finally came out of the closet”, she looked at Tara and Tara looked at her and they both broke up over the obviously intended pun. All three of them Natti’s mom, Tara, and Natti were in good spirits after the meeting.

Alicia said that she was very impressed at how everyone took a part in the meeting. “I was afraid that it was just going to be some people talking to girls that needed real help and basically telling them what they had to do, but it was just the opposite. They told everyone what needed to be done and then gave them options. For that clothes sale, for some people transitioning, clothes would be something that they would need and can be a rather large expense along with all the other expenses.

Did you know that they had makeup workshops? And they also had ongoing discounts with stores in the area. It’s all here in this booklet that I picked up, and I got one for both of you as well”, she said and told Natti to get them out of her purse and hand them to her. The booklets weren’t very polished and it was clear that they were the homegrown products of people working together. There were lists of the types of hair removal lasers, waxing, sugaring, threading, electrolysis...etc. Then there were pages and pages of discounts for the different types. There were people that did electrolysis and there were like two pages of discounts for people that did electrolysis in their homes or in a salon.

It was the same for the other options as well. Her daughter and her friend became instantly engrossed in the books as her mother continued, “And did you see that young girl leading the group, what was her name”, she asked herself more than anyone else? Then remembering, “Hayden, that’s right I’m sure”, she commented. “A very capable young lady and she is still in college, she is going to make someone a very accomplished member of whatever company that has the smarts to employ her. You know that is a good lesson to remember. She can put that on her resume when she applies for her first employment once she graduates.”

They were pulling into the parking lot of Sharkey’s diner, and as they pulled in she could see Megan and Vivian getting out of their car. Even if she didn’t see them she couldn’t have missed it as Tara sang out, “There is Megan and Mrs. Billings almost to the door.” They pulled into a parking space and joined the lady and her young charge at the door before they went into the restaurant. They got a large round booth where they could all sit and see each other as the meeting became the topic of conversation at the table. The waitress came and brought everyone water and began to take their orders.

Megan was now not a shy little boy who seemed afraid of his own shadow but had rather changed into a bubbly teen girl obsessed with the concerns of other teen girls. She was still showing off her fashions to Tara as they discussed the afternoon shopping excursion. Alicia was preparing her food and happened to notice Vivian watching Megan with the happiest smile that she had seen in a while.

It was obvious that she was happy and pleased with Megan and the young girl had made a deal with Tara to split her grilled ham and cheese sandwich with the onion rings that they had ordered together, and then each one ordered a piece of cherry cheesecake. It was one of the specials of the diner. As the waitress took their order both girls made sure that the cherry cheesecake would have chocolate sauce. Alicia had known Stan before he shed the male cocoon and emerged as the beautiful young lady.

Tara was now talking about how the next school year would be so much easier with not only Natti as a tutor but now she would have Megan as well. Mrs. Billings inquired as to why Megan would be so helpful and Tara asked her, “You mean she didn’t tell you, she has the top grades in the freshman class and held the fourth place in the school overall. Mrs. Billings asked Megan about this and she explained that she had the top grades in the school and had even won first place in the school's science fair.

It was because of her work in the anthropology field and her thesis on when domesticated crops were first introduced. She said that she had researched findings that only came to light in the previous year that had even suggested that mankind had actually domesticated crops before the time that the pre-pottery period had even existed. She then began to become more interested in the chocolate shavings that had been added to the slices of cheesecake.

Mrs. Billings sat back and looked at Alicia and Natti’s mom confessed that she had no idea what either of them was talking about. “Natti is the same way when talking about the purification of sand.” Natti heard her talking and then said, “Not sand, but that purified silicon could make computer chips more powerful as the silicon would be denser.” Both of the older ladies looked at each other and laughed shrugging off the technical banter as Vivian remarked, “It’s good that we are leaving the world in such capable hands.”

As the cheesecakes were fading into the past, the next topic turned to the upcoming Cos Con. Natti and Tara were informing Mrs. Billings that they were going as Strawberry Shortcake and Orange Blossom. “Oh I remember them from when I was a little girl. I had to have one and then I had to have all of the dolls. Let me see if I can remember them, there was Strawberry Shortcake, Lemon Meringue, Orange Blossom, Raspberry Torte, Plum Pudding, Blueberry Muffin, Huckleberry Pie, Sweet and Sour Grapes, and Apple Dumplin.

I know I had them all, and I think I may have all the dolls still packed away someplace. Maybe I’ll look to see if I can find them when I get home.” She then looked at Tara and said, “Young lady you will make a great Orange Blossom, I think that your hair will be the exact same color.” She turned to Natti and told her that if she wanted to be believable as Strawberry Shortcake that she would have to die her hair, as she was a blond. Natti told her that she was way ahead of her and had decided on a blond wig.

I know it will be hot, but then we won’t be outside and the Center is air conditioned. Tara spoke up next, as she had been looking at something on her phone and she blurted out, “Hey, check this out. Kumiko is coming and she was going to be appearing as Kitana.” This last bit of information was now picked up by Natti and Megan both, of course the light’s were once again turned off on Natti’s mom and Vivian.

It was Alicia that spoke up asking, “Isn’t Kitana one of the characters from that movie Mortal Kombat?” Natti corrected her, “That’s Princess Kitana and she was true.” Her mom continued, “I saw that movie when I was still in high school. Didn’t she have like these Japanese fans?” It was Megan that spoke next adding that she had steel fans that had blades on them and she didn’t come from Japan, she was the Princess in Edenia, that’s where Mortal Kombat is held.

The conversation continued but had splintered into two separate conversations one about the dolls of the 1980s and one about the meeting of Kuminiko at Cos Con. Vivian made a mental note to find out more about the Cos Con and the person that Megan was so interested in meeting or seeing. She wasn’t even sure what went on at this Cos Con or even what it was. Alicia knew that much at least and told her it is where people go and some get dressed in costumes of the characters that they like in movies and video games and added, “It is like adults playing dress-up.” She said that she was reading about it on a website. They actually have contests to see which actor or player as they were called had the best costume.

Some actors go to all the conventions as that is where they get the name, “Cosplay, (for costume play) and they have conventions where they play different characters from movies, video games, TV shows, and even from history. Do you remember that actress Marge Pontaska from all the 1980 movies, well she is now a regular at these conventions and she plays the character Lilith? She works all the conventions and is very popular. If you give me your email I’ll send you the link to the web page for all the information.” The two ladies talked while Megan was showing off her new iPhone 13 and then they had to take each other's pictures and a few selfies.

It was getting late and it was Natti’s mom that played the boogie man and said that it was half past 11 and that she had to get home. As they walked out the group made plans to talk to each other soon, and they parted their separate ways. On the way to Tara’s house to drop her off, they all said how much happier Megan seemed. When they got to Tara’s house Natti got out with her to say goodbye. Her mom watched her and Tara hug and then saw how they kissed each other good night. She saw they kissed each other on the lips and was a little shocked. True they weren’t swapping spit, but it was kind of odd that they should kiss one another on the lips. She really didn’t think that much about it and drove off for her home, her diary, and her bed.
