Monthly Challenge #2: Trance Development! (April 2025)

Hey all!

It's been a while since Hypnovember, huh...? I had a fun time trancing and reviewing a bunch of files for you all... and of course, discussing your own progress through the month on the various discussion hubs. So I've decided to do another! It's been long enough people should have recovered, I think πŸ˜‰

But before we begin (on April 1st of course), I'm gonna give two important disclaimers...

Disclaimer #1:

"Monthly" challenge here means "it is a challenge that will span the whole month." Not "you must trance daily for the entire month in order to participate."

Everybody's gotta pick their own schedule; whether that's daily, as I personally enjoy, or every second day, or once or twice a week... the monthly wrapping is simply a way for you to continue showing up for yourself within this fixed period, and lend some structure to what may currently be a shapeless approach. So don't stress if you're not able to trance daily (which is a goal I often have for myself, and often miss!) The focus here should be to trance as much as you'd like to, and as much as feels good for you. But repeated practice IS beneficial, so aim for "slightly ambitious, while still being reachable" and have lots of compassion for yourself if you fall a little short. <3 NO PRESSURE OR ELSE 🀬

Disclaimer #2:

You don't have to use exclusively Jockout files.

Of course, my stuff's good πŸ’… and I stand behind it, but I go between creators myself. It's fine to share your thoughts on other creators' work in the discussion threads, THOUGH I will caveat that of course, please keep it productive and polite. It's OK to have and share a negative experience with a file, but don't be an asshole, even if you think the creator won't see it. πŸ§‘πŸ’™

With those out of the way...

What's the theme of this monthly challenge even ABOUT?

πŸ€” "Trance development? Sounds fake."

WELL IT'S NOT, AND THAT'S NOT A VERY NICE THING TO SAY.

As a term here, Trance Development = the practice of developing your skill of trance.

There are two ways to go about this... you will either go and trance to any file you choose, on any themes you enjoy (because practice makes progress, rehearsing any trance state will make you better at it), or you can specifically trance to files dedicated to trance training. These are commonly files from 'tists which speak about being strictly about fractionation, a technique of repeated dropping and wakening that makes for increased depth... or files like Hypnoslut from Jockout (who's that guy?) that are, at heart, hypnosis-about-hypnosis. Anecdotally, I have heard from quite a few people that Hypnoslut and Chill Out, Bro are both files which have worked excellently as Trance Trainers for folks, the latter of which had a very recent redux! So both of those could be good shouts. πŸ˜„

Besides myself, there are many creators I enjoy with a file or two that could fit this, including but not limited to: Avis Sapiens, Ashdoge, Hyphyphurray, Yall (the hypnofox 🦊). [Admittedly my knowledge of hypnodommes is quite limited, but I'm sure there are many great trances in that whole world too lol.]

I'm planning to try a blend of both approaches this month - generally, just recommitting to trancing daily (to files of any theme; mostly pup, himbo stuff) and then working in files whose sole purpose is to provide a spicy drop experience/install a new trigger to help facilitate deep states.

If you'd like to take part, there's only thing I (softly, lovingly) require you to do.

‼️Make a plan (at least a rough one) of how often you're aiming to trance. Set a SMART goal for yourself - something Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Timebound. You don't have to hit this religiously... but it's hard to score any goal when you're not kicking at the net, right?

An example of this kind of goal could be: "I'm going to trance every second day, before I sleep, for the month of April."

That's all. I would also, personally, pick some files ahead of time that you wanna drill/try out and stick to that, but that's me; I'm pretty anal, and that may reduce the fun of spontaneity for some so follow your gut re: how strictly you want to plan it.

Discussion threads for the monthly challenge will be posted both here on Patreon and on Discord. Discord is MY preference for discussion and conversation, but I know not everyone uses it so 🫑 No problem with comments and DMs here, including in the totally-not-dead-and-very-cool Community Chat function Patreon made. I'll be posting weekly about my OWN participation in the project (assuming, inevitably, when stuff goes off the rails and I miss a few days; no one can say I'm not authentic 😝). If any questions/comments come in that spark a response, I'll probably make a mini-article for each post too, besides just discussing my own dropping and filework.

I think that's it!

Looking forward to seeing you participate along with me. Feel free to comment your own goal/schedule in the post here as an additional accountability measure if you'd like.
