Accidental Woman - Chapter 2

OTHER CHAPTER | ALL STORY LIST

Daryl sat down and Jordyn sat beside him in a chair that was facing him. She combed his hair back and placed it inside of a wig cap.

"We'll start by giving you a nice new feminine face," she said holding lipstick. Daryl sat there petrified. She began drawing strips on his face and neck with the lipstick. "I thought that went on your lips," Daryl protested.

"This is just a cheap lipstick to cover your beard area. It will cancel off the blue tinge that a beard gives off," she explained as she blended it in with her fingers.

"Next I'll apply some foundation," Jordyn continued. "Lucky, you have the same skin tone as I do, so I already have the right colors for you." She put a small amount in her hand and warmed it up.

She then took a wedge-shaped sponge and began to apply it firmly around the lower half of his face and onto his neck.

"Now I'll apply some translucent powder, to hold the foundation," she explained. Jordyn took a powder puff and tapped it over the foundation.

"I'll use a lighter foundation for your forehead and areas that do not have beard growth," she explained. She applied the foundation using the same method from Daryl's hairline down to his cheeks.

"Now I'm going to give you a nice shadow effect around your jaw," Jordyn continued.

"I'll brush a dark brown eye shadow around the edges of the neck and back jaw line." Daryl felt like Frankenstein's monster, but he let him keep going. Jordyn was grinning from ear to ear.

"You're really enjoying this aren't you," Daryl teased.  Jordyn giggled.

"Yes I am," she replied with a laugh, "Now hush and hold still."

"Let's do your eyes," Jordyn said.

"You need your brows trimmed."

"I don't feel comfortable with that," Daryl said sheepishly. "Okay, I can work around it," Jordyn said assuredly. She put some more foundation in her palm and warmed it up.

"This won't completely cover it," she said.

"But unless someone looks very close, it won't  be noticeable." She applied the foundation over the eyebrows and blended it in with Daryl's forehead.

She then took an eyebrow pencil and made a curve line just above Daryl's natural brow. She then put on a heavier-than-normal application of light blue eye shadow.

"Normally I wouldn't put this much on," Jordyn said, "But the effect will give the illusion of salon-styled brows."

"Okay, now close your eyes," Jordyn instructed.

"And I'll apply the eyeliner." She carefully drew the lines, covering 3/4 of Daryl's natural line. This prevented him from having the raccoon look.

"You can open them now," Jordyn said.  Daryl opened his eyes to see Jordyn coming at him with mascara.

"I don't know about that," Daryl protested. "Oh please," Jordyn said, "you have such lovely eyelashes.

It would be a shame to waste them."

"Oh alright," Daryl said with a sigh. Jordyn started stroking Daryl's lashes.

"All of the products I use are Maybel-line," she said.

"We need to go shopping and find which products work best for you."

"This is only temporary," Daryl reminded her. "You might change your mind once you see the results," Jordyn teased as she finished the lashes.

"Now let's use some blush," Jordyn said. "I'll use a light pink on your cheeks and around the hairline. This will bring out the foundation," she said as she lightly puffed the blush on Daryl.

"Next I'll use a darker shade on the apple of your cheeks down to the edge of your lips." "Why are you giving me such detailed instructions?" Daryl asked.

"So you can do your own makeup eventually," Jordyn said matter-of-factly.

"I don't plan on doing this forever," Daryl responded.

"You might have to be in hiding for a long time," Jordyn reminded him.

"I can't do your makeup every day." Daryl suddenly felt uncomfortable. What if he did have to stay in hiding forever? He didn't have time to worry about it now; Jordyn demanded his attention with her continuing makeup lesson. She was just starting on his lips.

"I'll use a lip pencil to give your lips some shape," she said. "Remember, the lip pencil gives shape, not color," she said. Starting in the middle, she drew a small line on his upper lip and then repeated the process on his lower lip.

"Now I'll add the lipstick.

Usually, you should wait until you are finished dressing to do this. But with me helping you, it should be fine."

"Now, let's give you boobs," Jordyn giggled. "Open your robe," she said. Jor- dyn stood up and went to one of the boxes. She pulled out to silicone breast forms and a bra. She turned to face Daryl and was shocked.

"Your chest is shaved," she exclaimed. "Actually, I've had laser hair removal," Daryl replied.

"Years ago, I lifted weights regularly and I wanted to do some bodybuilding." He grabbed his chest and said, "But I never could get any development here."

"I wouldn't say that," Jordyn said.

"You have a great chest. Perfect for fixing up," she said giggling again. Daryl wasn't' thrilled about becoming so feminine, but he did enjoy seeing Jordyn so happy.

Jordyn use clear tape to bring Daryl's chest muscles closer together.

She then applied some foundation around the hairless chest area. "This is going to work out great," she said with glee.

"I'll use a lighter-colored foundation on the edges to give you a great shadow effect." Daryl stood up as Jordyn adjusted the bra on him. She then put the breast forms in the cups and adjusted them.

"This is perfect," Jordyn said.

"The forms give you such a natural look."

"I would like to see," Daryl said as he reached for a small mirror on the table. Jordyn snapped the mirror from him. "Not until I'm finished," she said sternly.

She sat the mirror down and began going through the boxes. "Here," she said, "slip these on while I get your outfit." "What's this?" Daryl asked as he took two small black pieces of material.

"One's a gaff," Jordyn said.

"It will help hide your non-feminine parts." Daryl looked puzzled as he pulled the very tight gaff over his hips. The gaff pushed his scrotum and cock tightly. It was a very uncomfortable feeling for Daryl.

"Is this necessary?"

He asked. "Absolutely," Jordyn responded.

"Maybe next time, we'll tuck you in. But of course, you'll have to shave down there first."

Daryl looked even more uncomfortable. Jordyn just laughed and said, "Trust me, it's not that bad."

"Oh yeah," Daryl said. "I keep forgetting that you have to deal with it every- day. It's hard to believe that you have to go through the same things I do."

"Thanks," Jordyn said blushing.

"Maybe someday soon I won't have to. Now put on the waist cincher. It will give you a nice hourglass figure."

She handed him a pair of black Capri pants.

"Here, try these on." Daryl put on the pants and waist cincher.

"I can barely breathe in this thing," he protested to Jordyn.

"You'll get used to it," she said. "If you could go a size smaller, it would give you a super figure."

"No thanks," Daryl said. "I'll stick with this one." Jordyn helped him put on a white, button-up top. The top opened low onto his chest, just exposing a touch of his cleavage. Jordyn was very careful not to disturb the makeup.

The top had 3/4 length sleeves and covered any hair the Daryl had on his arms.

"Sit down and we'll do the most important part," Jordyn said, "the wig" Daryl sat nervously as Jordyn approached him from behind.

He could feel her putting the wig on and adjusting it in place. "It fits perfectly," she said.

"Now I'll use a little double-sided tape to lock in place." After she completed that task, she took a brush and styled it. A touch of hair spray and she was finished. "Let's do your nails," Jordyn said. She sat in front of him and took out a set of false fingernails.

"We'll go with the everyday size. I don't think you are ready for the glamour set yet." After attaching the nails, she took out the polish.

"This is a dark red shade, it matches your lipstick," she said. "I'll use the same shade on your toenails."

"You're going to do my toenails?" Daryl asked.

"Of course,"

Jordyn said. "You wouldn't want to ever leave a job incomplete." Daryl good-naturedly sat while Jordyn did her work.

After she was done, he looked at his toes and said, "Wow, my toenails look so much longer."

"Yes, painting your nails will give them the illusion of being long. Just look at your fingernails," Jordyn explained. Daryl noticed his fingernails for the first time. He held them in front of him and admired Jordyn's work. His nails did look much longer and more feminine.

Maybe she could pull this off. Jordyn took a razor and began to shave Daryl's feet and ankles. "I have to get rid of this hair," she explained, "or it will ruin the whole look." Daryl knew complaining wouldn't do any good.

He just sat back and enjoyed the attention. After Jordyn was finished, he said, "I can't wait to see how I look."

"You'll have to wait a bit longer," Jordyn said. "We still have to get your jewelry." She took a small jewelry box and started sifting through it. "You should have your ears pierced," she said, "Lots of guys do now."

"Not today," Daryl answered. Jordyn giggled, "Okay, clips will have to do." She took a pair of long earrings that formed several strands and clipped them on his ears. She then took a necklace with a single fake diamond pendant on it and placed it around his neck.

"This will focus the attention away from your Adam's apple and towards your chest. She looked down at Daryl's fake boobs and said, "Not that they will need any help getting attention." Daryl blushed a little and asked, "Now am I ready?"

"Just need some heels," she answered. She took a pair of black pumps from a box and placed them on Daryl's feet. "These may be a little tight," she said.

"They are only 2" heels, so you should be able to adjust to walking in them easily." Daryl was now ready for the unveiling. Jordyn made him promise to keep his eyes closed as she led him to the bathroom.

On the back of the bathroom door was a full-length mirror. Jordyn helped Daryl put on a light brown jacket and fluffed out his wig so that the hair would set nicely on his shoulders.

Jordyn positioned him in front of the mirror and said, "Now open your eyes." Daryl couldn't believe what he saw.

He stood there speechless. He wasn't the handsome executive anymore.

He wasn't sure what he was. The legs, the body, the chest were all that of a woman. His face was so different, soft, and smooth without a blemish. However, the biggest change was the hair. He wore a dark red wavy hairstyle that lay just below his shoulders. He couldn't bring himself to say anything. "Come on, what do you think?" Jordyn asked.

"I ..., I ... don't know," Daryl said. "You're gorgeous," Jordyn exclaimed. "I thought you'd be excited." "I am but," Daryl paused. "It just doesn't seem to be me."

"It is you," Jordyn laughed. "Now tell me, what you think."

"This will never work," Daryl said.

"I'll never pass for a woman."

"You're not supposed to pass for a woman," Jordyn said. "You're a beautiful effeminate man. Nobody looking for Daryl Caldwell would ever think that the person they see is you." Daryl finally understood what she was saying. He was a beautiful effeminate man.

He could hide in plain sight. He turned to the right and left, admiring his reflection. He ran his hands along his hips and chest. He touched his hair and combed it with his fingers.

He moved his head from side to side and enjoyed the feel of the synthetic hair on his back. He felt his now shapely hips and round breasts. The realization that he was feminine came to him.

He was excited and scared at the same time.

"Maybe I can get by with it," he said. "I guess it is time for a change in my life."

Daryl had no idea that the changes in his life were just starting.

"But you promised," Jordyn said with a whine in her voice. She spent all day with Daryl teaching him how to act feminine. She taught him to walk, sit, eat, and present himself as a woman.

She was trying to convince him to come to the Gemini Club and listen to her sing tonight. Daryl was resistant.

"I know I promised," he started, "But what if someone recognizes me?"

"Believe me," Jordyn said, "Nobody will recognize you. You're a totally new person now." "I just don't feel comfortable yet," Daryl continued.

"I'm still new at this. People will know I'm a man. I'm not a convincing woman yet." "We've already been over this," Jordyn answered.

"People will know you're a man, an effeminate man. You'll never learn unless you get out more."

Daryl looked at Jordyn. She had a lost puppy dog expression on her face. Jordyn softly said the magic word, "Please, don't you want to hear me sing?"

 "Alright, I'll go," Daryl said.

"But the first time anyone laughs at me, I'm leaving." Jordyn smiled a big toothy smile and said, "Great, let me get my things and we'll go."

"Don't you have to get changed for the show?" Daryl questioned. "I'll change at the club. All my stage outfits are there," Jordyn replied. The Gemini Club was a short walk from Jordyn's apartment. The night was cool and calm as they strolled down the street.

"Try to take smaller strides," Jordyn said. "Remember to walk like a lady." "This is going to take a lot of practice," Daryl said as he slowed down. He carefully began putting one foot in front of the other, just as Jordyn taught him.

"This will all be second nature to you in no time," Jordyn reassured him. "Try to smile more, like we talked about."

Daryl felt very paranoid.

It seemed like everyone that they passed was staring at him. Between dressing feminine and being wanted by the police, he had become noticeably nervous.

Jordyn picked up on his fears and tried to reassure him.

"Oh look at that top," Jordyn said pointing to a display in a department store window. "That low cut would look great on you."

"I don't know," Daryl said. "It might be a little too revealing."

"But men like to see a little cleavage," Jordyn responded.

"Haven't you noticed the guys looking at your chest?" she asked. Daryl smiled at Jordyn. She always seemed to know exactly what to say. "I'm sure they were starting at the young woman, not the old hag," he answered with a laugh. They both laughed and continued chatting all the way to the club.

They entered through the back door using Jordyn's key. It was six o'clock and the club didn't open until seven. Jordyn put her stuff in the dressing room and gave Daryl a quick tour.

The changing room was not much more than a small bathroom with a few hooks to hang clothes and a well-lighted mirror.

Jordyn's outfits were hanging in a corner. She put her makeup bag on the floor and continued the tour. There was a small stage with a Karaoke machine. Just off the stage was a dance floor. Behind the dance floor was a group of tables.

The tables were arranged in a semi-circle and sat either two or four people. Three people were in the bar area when they entered.

"Daryl, let me introduce you to everyone," Jordyn said.

"This is the owner and bartender, Jim O'Reilly." Jim O'Reilly was a huge Irishman who looked the part of a bartender. He had very red hair and a large beer belly.

"Hi, what was your name?" Jim questioned as he shook Daryl's hand.

"Daryl, Daryl Taylor," Daryl answered. Jordyn grinned when she heard that Daryl was using her last name. "Nice to meet you Daryl, are you related to Jordyn?" he asked. "Sort of," Daryl responded.

"We're long lost sisters."

"This is Delicia," Jordyn said as she pointed to a tall African-American girl. Delicia was obviously a drag queen. She was at least 6' 4".

She wore a long blonde feathered wig, a tight black leather corset with a matching mini-skirt, and very little else.

"Hi Delicia; it's so nice to meet you," Daryl said holding her hand out to shake.  Delicia didn't take Daryl's hand. Instead, she slowly walked in a circle around Daryl. Daryl became very nervous but tried not to show it. As she paced, Delicia said, "Hum, hum hum, cute little body, delicate face, and a firm round tits."

She stopped in front of Daryl and said, "If you didn't have that tiny white girl ass, you'd be a perfect little queen." Daryl burst into laughter along with everyone else in the room. Delicia then hugged Daryl.

Daryl immediately felt comfortable around Delicia and hugged her back. "Girlfriend, you and I can have so much fun here together.

We'll tease these horny men so much they won't know what hit them," Delicia said as they hugged. "This is Salazar," Jordyn said interrupting them.

"He is our cook."

"Nice to meet you, Salazar," Daryl said with a big smile. Salazar was a short, very thin man of Spanish descent.

He didn't answer Daryl and looked toward the floor when Daryl smiled. "Salazar doesn't speak much English," Jim said. "But he is a great cook."

"Oh," Daryl said. He bent down and got Salazar's attention. In perfect Spanish, Daryl said, "It's nice to meet you. I can't wait to try some of your cooking." Salazar sprung to attention with a huge smile.

He answered Daryl in Spanish.

"I would love to cook for such a pretty lady. May I fix you a meal tonight? What would you like?"

"How about burrito and rice," Daryl answered again in Spanish. Salazar continued smiling and hustled to the kitchen. Daryl turned to face the group. They were standing there in awe. "You never told me you spoke Spanish," Jordyn exclaimed. "I picked it up a few years ago," he had to stop himself.

Daryl almost told the group about the time he spent two years in Mexico setting up an ore processing plant. He realized that he must be more careful discussing his past. A past he would have to forget if he were going to survive.

"Where is Janet?" Jordyn asked Jim. "That little tart is late as usual," Delicia said with contempt in her voice. "I may have to do something about her," Jim said. "You should throw her right out on the street where she belongs," Delicia continued.

"Who's Janet?" Daryl asked. "She is supposed to be the other waitress here," Delicia answered.

"Not that I couldn't handle this by myself. But a girl needs a little rest every now and then."  Delicia stormed off and began setting up the room for the evening. Jordyn and Jim began setting up the bar. Not wanting to sit around, Daryl began helping Delicia. He grabbed a broom and started sweeping. Delicia smiled at Daryl as the two worked together. Soon the club was ready for the night's guests.

As the crowd started in, Daryl found a small table in the corner. Salazar brought out Daryl's meal and they chatted for a few minutes.

He told Daryl about his trip up from Mexico and how he hoped to eventually move his family to the States. Daryl listened patiently. He sensed that Salazar was very lonely and needed a friend.

Salazar had to go back to the kitchen and fill some orders. Daryl began to scan the crowd.  The crowd was not what Daryl expected. Daryl expected a room full of drag queens and rejects. However, most of the crowd was young couples. The others were single men or women and a few small groups. There were several drag queens also.

Daryl could not find Jordyn. She was working at the bar with Jim. Daryl assumed she went backstage to get ready.

He could not wait to hear her sing.  The crowd was large now and getting impatient. Since Janet never showed up, Delicia was not able to keep up with the demand.

Daryl could see Jordyn was about ready to step on the stage, but he would not be able to hear her.  There was a group of four college-aged guys sitting a few feet away from him.

They were becoming louder and louder. "Hey babe, bring us another round,"  they shouted at Delicia. Daryl was becoming very annoyed. If these guys ruined Jordyn's performance, she would be very upset.

Daryl decided to take matters into his own hands.

He went over to the bar, and took a tray and four Budweiser's and four mugs. He put the drinks on the tray and  shouted to Jim, "How much?"

"Eight bucks," Jim shouted back. Daryl took the tray to the guy's table and handed out the drinks.

"That'll be eight bucks," he said.

"Thanks, babe," one of the guys said as he handed her a ten. "What can I get  extra for the tip?" He asked.  Daryl slowly put the ten down his top until the bra strap secured it.

"You'll only get to dream for two bucks," Daryl said.  The table erupted in laughter.

As Daryl walked back to the bar to give Jim the  cash, he heard, "Miss, miss"

Daryl noticed a nearby table with a young man and woman sitting at it. The  man asked, "Can we get another drink?"

"Uh, sure; what are you having?" Daryl asked.  "I'll have a Scotch and water. She'll have a Cosmopolitan," he answered.  Daryl went back to the bar and gave Jim the money.

He told Jim what the other two ordered and delivered the drinks. That's how it went the rest of the evening. Daryl acted as a substitute waitress.

Daryl didn't think he would ever do such work.

The college-educated, highly-skilled executive never dreamed of waiting tables.

Oddly enough, he enjoyed the job. He had fun flirting with the customers and teasing the single men. Delicia was thrilled. It made her night go much quicker.  Daryl did get a chance to enjoy Jordyn's performance.

She did three shows that night. Each show consisted of seven to ten songs. Jordyn had an incredible vocal range.

At times, she could sound like Whitney Houston or Beth  Midler. The crowd adored her. It was easy to see why the club was packed.  After all the patrons left, the group huddled at the bar. Jim counted out $100  and handed it to Daryl.  "What's this?" Daryl questioned.

"That's your share of the tip money," Jim answered.

"The waitresses get 2/3  of the money, I get 1/4, and Salazar gets the rest," Jim explained as he handed money to Delicia and Salazar.  "But I don't work here. I don't deserve this," Daryl protested.  "Sure you do honey," Delicia responded. "You worked hard for that money.  Now you go out and buy you something pretty."

"And I'll be happy to hire you," Jim said. "I'll pay you a good wage and you'll  get a portion of the tip money."

Daryl thought for a minute. If Jim hired, him, Daryl would have to provide his real name and social security number.

The government could easily track him down. Daryl did need the money though and it would allow him to spend more time with Jordyn.

"I would like to work here," Daryl said.

"But I would like to change some  things."

"Like what?" Jim asked skeptically.  "Instead of paying us a wage, Delicia and I will only get paid by tips," Daryl explained.

"No way girlfriend," Delicia screeched.

"Don't you see," Daryl explained. "If we receive all of our pay through tips, we'll actually make more money. We only have to report a minimum wage to the  government, so no money will come out of our weekly pay."

"But what about Salazar," Jim protested.

"You can afford to double his salary and still come out ahead since you aren't paying Delicia and me any wage," Daryl continued.  Jim rubbed his chin and went into deep thought for a moment.

"It sounds like a plan to me," Jim said.

"Are you sure we'll come out ahead?" Delicia asked  "I'm sure," Daryl said reassuringly.  Daryl explained the situation to Salazar. He smiled and nodded in agreement.  Jim said, "Daryl, I'll need your social security number so I can get you a liquor  serving license."

Daryl nearly panicked. Jordyn stepped in and said, "I've got it right here."

She opened her purse and pulled out a card. Jordyn rattled off the nine-digit number to Jim as he wrote it down.

As Jordyn and Daryl headed home, Daryl asked, "Where did you get that  social security number?"

"It's my mom's number," she explained.

"All the liquor commission will do is a quick criminal background check.

They'll never notice that difference in the  name."

"Well aren't you clever," Daryl said sarcastically.

Daryl and Jordyn talked excitedly all the way home about working together.

As they entered the apartment, Daryl said, "Jordyn, I think I should start shaving my legs."  Jordyn smiled and replied, "We'll start on it first thing in the morning."

Daryl is such a quick study and in the perfect place to blend in. I would still be hiding in the apartment
