Two former Plasma/neo-Plasma grunts did not take well to their defeat back when the protagonist defeated them! And they sure won't forgive her for forgetting them!
Now that they've prepared all these years for this fated battle, it seems they had no issue toppling the hero! With her defeat, they secure and ready her for departure! Perhaps they're preparing a third return of the Plasma gang, but before doing that, they need to remove this obstacle.
