When it is imported to the US the poor inhabitants of the Stilton cheese are suffering from frost bight. I warm it up gently and leave it in the pantry in the, usually, vain hope that the little residents who create all that goodness can be revived. Soft, creamy, robust and alive is how it should be. However, the provenance of your sample did look a little unusual. Please provide updated health bulletin in due course. Cheers.
