Ram this up your nose!

No seriously, it's another dubious medical device which basically involves poking red LEDs up your nose.  And a handy DIY one too, which doesn't take long to make and can be used for other purposes.

I like Baggood.. <a href="https://www.banggood.com/5Pcs-Halogen-Free-21-Heat-Shrink-Tubing-Transparent-Wire-Cable-Sleeving-Wrap-p-1182650.html?rmmds=search" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.banggood.com/5Pcs-Halogen-Free-21-Heat-Shrink-Tubing-Transparent-Wire-Cable-Sleeving-Wrap-p-1182650.html?rmmds=search</a> Cheap... and, generally free, and fast shipping.

I had one of these things years ago when Boots the Chemist used to sell them (perhaps they still do!) at a time where I would try anything to reduce my hayfever symptoms. I can categorically confirm that it does not work at all other than to pull your nostrils apart which "reduces" the inflammation effect of hayfever for a while. The correct way to treat hayfever is to get immunotherapy from a proper allergy specialist which takes 3 years to complete and not sticking LED's up your nose.

Good work Clive. It's always a pleasure to see you enjoying yourself building different things.

Could always substitute color cycling RGB LEDs for the extra special unicorn nose light therapy...

I've got a colour therapy light on my beadhead, A snowdropz led lamp.

I tend to pull a few feet (about a metre off the reel at a time and roll it up for convenient use. I do use all the scraps as they will pull themselves into a pool of solder on a PCB. No solder goes in the bin.

Given you always use (relatively) short pieces of solder, what do you do with the remaining little bit at the end that you cannot melt (as you're holding it)? Do you just throw it away? I guess you do it because it's easier to handle small lengths instead of pulling from a spool, or is there any other reason why you do that?

It's very random. The same seller may sell you some great quality components and then in the next order you get duffers.

Clive, in your opinion who is the best eBay seller to buy parts off of.
