PSA for twin-tail harness users.
Added 2017-09-20 13:12:38 +0000 UTCI know that many of you are involved in the entertainment, engineering and construction industries, so here's a quick heads-up for those of you using twin tail safety harnesses. If you hook one of the tails onto your harness it prevents the shock absorber from deploying. This is especially important when you clip it on the front of your harness to keep it out the way as it becomes the equivalent of a front attached harness and could cause significant spine damage. Here's a link to Petzl's website showing the hazard.

Well this channel does have a lot of furries subscribed to it. There's a bizarre connection between furries and technical people.

2017-09-20 21:34:44 +0000 UTCMy harness only has the one solid connection point on the back. I do have the two plastic loops on the front shoulder/chest area. I never knew exactly why. Good PSA for your subscribers. Thanks.

2017-09-20 16:29:56 +0000 UTCinteresting stuff.... i use these quite a lot but we was under the impression that the two was only used to transverse from safety link to safety link, always believing that as long as one link is attached then its safe..... lesson learnt... thanks clive

2017-09-20 15:31:24 +0000 UTCWhy aren't there two separate shock absorbers - one for each lanyard?
2017-09-20 13:42:04 +0000 UTCYou see it a lot. I used to do it myself.
