I got it especially for the videos, but it's almost a bit too big.

If it's just a single emitter then you could use a resistor if it was for low current, or a buck converter for higher current. With 18V you could run about 4 or 5 low current LEDs in series with a single resistor.

I'm afraid I don't know which seller these came from. I had one sent to me for teardown by a fan of the channel.

Any chance of a link to the seller for these?

End links aren't really creepy. Do what you can to get more viewers. I might suggest a more detailed run through of a power supply section in a vid just for patrons. I've been trying to figure out a supply from an 18v dc battery to a 3ish volt emitter, but can't quite figure it out.

Very interesting, I wonder when they start to put leds on glas globes (3D sun-like led lamp). Thumbs up!

Another great vid Any chance of a link to purchase Thanks

I'm fascinated with LED teardowns, so thanks for yet another good one, Clive! :)

Yes. I remember the first time I got hold of an old red LED and connected it to 2xAA batteries to see it stay alight for over a week. And then green. and then eventually blue and white. And then was blown away further by the intensity that can be squeezed out of a chip half the size of a grain of rice. Amazing tech that has kept me on edge of my seat in anticipation of the next generation. Has been a great journey.

Very special. Amazing how fast led technology is advancing. Excellent Clive, keep them coming. Tks. 👍

Again, I feel very special. ☺️
