Uh-oh. It's all gone slightly weird again.

Once again a slightly dubious items has arrived through the post, and it's probably no coincidence that it comes shortly after an AvE video on a similar item.

I'd like to stress that this isn't turning into a sex-toy technology channel.  But they're certainly not excluded from the wide range of things I'll take to bits for our amusement.

"Industrial Brothels"

For reference, the original absolutely does have the motor inside the handle, with the eccentric weight in the head. Very heavy duty and quite high quality, I grabbed a pair of them for Beloved while they could still be bought NOS. The real things is actually completely usable as a neck massager, I think that's genuinely what they were sold for. They're arguably massive overkill for their new-found intimate purposes.

That sound reminded me of a BSA bantam I used to own. It wasn't pink.

Phil Collins

I didn't even notice that.

Big Clive

Bring on the pink!! Since the PSU board is marked rather clearly 5V/2A I am a little surprised there was so much uncertainty over the voltage... :D

Rob O'Donnell

Yes they are. You choose a fuse to match the appliance and its flex (3A, 5A and 13A are the most common). The ring circuit feeding the sockets can supply up to 32A at 240V so sub-fusing is a good idea. The fuses are also sand-filled to allow them to break high current.

Big Clive

Are all UK plugs fused that way? Seems a good way to do it. Notice that I'm avoiding any of the obvious jokes.

Doctors. With out new vibratory hyseria release unit you can now treat twice as many ladies in a day. Why not buy one for each hand for even greater revenue from provide this popular and valuable treatment.

Big Clive

They should celebrate. With their hysteria relief devices and a full bottle of Lady Pinkham's medicinal compound.

Big Clive

For perspective regarding the fuse: a 3kW vibrator would be four horsepower. That's a lot to have in you, um, "bits".

Stephen King

Why am I watching this at work without headphones on my laptop?

iamdarkyoshi

btw..clive I like your new icon picture...its very much you...

Resistance / length might do the job, if you're able to measure any in that length of wire.

Adam K. Foote

On International Women's Day? Clive! :D

Mark Dennehy

Hum, same colour as your USB blender. Don't get confused one night after drinking too much meths/vodka or whisky!

As great as the temptation is for a potentially USB-powered one is, I think I'll stick to my Japanese-made model...

"Pussy Number 8359" Haha

Vibrators were originally invented as a labor saving device for doctors who were wearing their hands out treating women for "hysteria" by inducing "hysterical paroxysms" (which were actually orgasms). For some mysterious reason, the demand for this "treatment" increased rapidly, leading to doctors with exhausted arms.

going back to the power leads what we commonly use for computers (iec) are strictly for low current like no more than 700w, but if you remember the old kettle connectors, the high current connectors had a notch cut out which makes sure that you cannot connect a computer power cable into something like a kettle. Is there a way of testing how thick the copper is inside a cable?

And Photonic....

Big Clive

A technical sex toy teardown channel would be hilarious, and probably wouldn't contravene YouTubes guidelines. But actually testing them on video might be pushing it a bit.

Big Clive

If you ever felt the desire to open a second channel, sex toys would be a fine topic.

David Glover-Aoki

can you imagine if you put Clive, Dave Jones, Julian llett and AvE all together for a week......

"dildo release screwdriver" <3

kieran

"Fish or poo" will go down as a classic Clive comment lol

Graham Eida

I think it's coming from viewers, as I don't really paint a good picture of the more dubious oriental stuff.

Big Clive

So I'm not sure if you know how Hitachi wands are used in modern days for sexual stimulation, but I think more importantly, it needs to be asked, are we (your viewers) sending you this shit, or are random Chinese sellers literally sending it hoping for free advertising?

It's pink. It uses electrickery. Therefore it obviously belongs on the show, full stop. ;)
