Ceramic heat coils work good and basking lamps. the infrared heater lamps are not good for them it has something to do with there vision. two be able to run a simple structure like that in certain areas if they don pose a hazard would push heat throughout individual cages. the larger ones anyways. ive been trying for some time now to come up with a way to quickly heat an entire cage and force air seems to work great but the methods available become a fire or burn hazard.

The thermal cutouts are just for the heater section. There's a splice in the wiring for the circuitry.

Have you tried the standard infrared heater lamps?

Where do i find this. i rescue iguanas in mn and something like that would be worth testing for safety for the winter months... I would love to have the link for this so i can run it now and see how long it can go before overheating/melting causing a hazard... maybe i can improve upon its design...

It looks like the mains in goes to the thermal cutout(s) first, is the circuit for the capacitive droppers after that?

They could have put a 4 position switch in it, the extra one for cool air. Maybe it's just intended for the UK market (sarc). It's no recommended to put zener diodes in parallel, but it's cheaper than a higher current single one.

Neat! You never know what you are going to find in these products... I'm glad you are here buying all of the weird stuff that I'm curious about but would probably never buy :)

Good to keep plants warm in a greenhouse on a chilly day. Bit noisy for reptiles I think.
