Poundland's 2017 LED armageddon.

Poundland (A UK dollar store) has been adding a lot of really good LED lighting to their seasonal ranges, and the latest release is the summer lighting. It's very good stuff.

We have nothing like the selection of PoundLand, here in the U.S.

I like quite a few of those. Thank you, Clive. Next time I'm in town . . . :-)

The firefly bulb, and many other Poundland garden lights use a 5252F IC which is a really interesting chip. It boosts the 1.2V provided by the solar cell / battery to 3V for the LEDs. I'm currently playing with one to power a BBC micro:bit http://www.bigl.es/pounderland-solar-powered-micro-bit/

I've been watching you and Ashens for quite a while now and it seems Poundland has improved it's electronics exponentially over the years. I wish they'd have a talk with US Dollar Stores, which just seem to get worse and worse as time goes on. Makes me wonder if the Poundland procurement division are watching your videos. I guess if they have a hole drilled in the top of the fairy lights next year we'll know!

Im in Canada and none of the dollar stores here really sell any of these light except for the plain solar ones. Sucks it looks like you could make some neat stuff with those..

Cool, I have to go into the city centre later this morning so I'll have to see if mine has any in stock. Unfortunately it can often be hit and miss what my Poundland store has in stock and how long it stays in stock.

That 20 copper string light is ideal for a project I'm doing!

Those 2 for 1# lights are almost as cheap as the bare batteries you bought to fix your garden lights!
