Smokin' hot relays.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E8EH2GqzWNU

While a prototype circuit board is etching I'll just pop this video up.

It's about the cloned Omron relays sold on eBay and gives a hint at how much care went into manufacturing them.

The problem there being finding something that isn't rotating relative to the earth. It could be another angle on the ionosphere charge concept. I'm not going to rule out some form of perpetual motion device, but everything so far has been debunked. If they do find a way to achieve it, it'll be something really obvious.

Big Clive

His idea isn't really free energy since he wants to harness the energy of the earth's rotation

Jonathan Brown

Whilst I am sincerely sorry for what Andy has had to go through re. the bureaucratic bullshit, I must admit to being a bit concerned when he started talking about his "free energy device"... I can't help but be skeptical when anyone mentions those words with a straight face. I hope it's just a passing case of "Engineer's Disease", the phenomenon whereby a person who is highly trained in a particular technical field arrives at the notion that they can completely revolutionise a related - or wholly unrelated - field via some idea that they're sure nobody has ever thought of or managed to implement successfully. There's usually very good reasons for this (e.g. the idea breaks the laws of physics in some non-obvious way, or it's simply too expensive and/or impractical to implement based on the expected net gain/output... the end does not justify the means, else the concept would already be in wide use) and sufferers of the disease usually tend to "self-heal" after some period of time. But Andy seems pretty convinced about his idea, and appears to have been working on it for quite a while... although I'm quite sure that he cannot be the first person to propose generating energy via interactions with the Earth's magnetic field or by somehow harnessing its angular momentum/inertia. Of course, I still wish him all the best in his personal life, regardless of whatever I may think about his technical ideas.

I am so glad someone has his contact information.

I'm just off the phone to Photonic and he's fine. Just frustrated at all the red tape. He's not been making videos because he's not been in the mood for it due the politics surrounding his wife.

Big Clive

His video was heart breaking.

Yeah, he's going through a tough time with the wall of red tape that is modern society.

Big Clive

I saw your comment on photonicinduction's video and yet again the electrician community comes together to help someone in need

Jonathan Brown

yes, there is something satisfying about the sound of relays clicking in and out in a control panel. Bring back my apprenticeship years ... excellent as always Clive. cheers mate

Richard Boyce

I love relays! The insight you bring in this video probably helped avoid a few unpleasant incidents, you know. Very cool!

Michael Thompson

As a child in the seventies, I remember visiting the telephone exchange my father worked at and enjoying the sound of thousands of relays going on and off. In fact, it may be my earliest memory.
