Fake Omron time delay relay.

This one's actually quite nicely made.  It's a 12V version so it runs cooler than the higher voltage versions probably do.

The Japan lie is as big as the Omron lie. Much like the cake.

Is it really made in Japan as it says on the enclosure? Or did the Chinese faked that too? It sure looks and smells like the cheap Chinese PCB!

We see these at work SO often! Always broken, usually permanently. 12 volt eh? That's kind of cool. It's more common for me to see the 24VDC or AC powered models in both the real and fake variety. -and yes cheap CHEAP factory folks actually send these in for repair as opposed to simply replacing them, which we normally do anyway for a modest fee. ;)

Pretty much identical externally.

The advantage of the single function circuits is that they don't crash. Although a microcontroller allows a lot more options.

Rather interesting to see "single purpose" circuits still being used. I would have used a ATMega328. LOL.

So, I have to ask... if that is a fake, what's a real one look like?

Cool, I just received this same set a few days ago...
