This one's actually quite nicely made. It's a 12V version so it runs cooler than the higher voltage versions probably do.

It's more common for me to see the 24VDC or AC powered models in both the real and fake variety. -and yes cheap CHEAP factory folks actually send these in for repair as opposed to simply replacing them, which we normally do anyway for a modest fee. ;)
