Street light cut-out unit.

Probably one of the most functionally designed devices about.  As you may notice I really like the cable termination plate and large integrated finger guard for the chunky little fuse that can break up to 20,000A of fault current in a controlled manner.

I showed the inside of a much larger blown HRC fuse in the video about fuses.

Big Clive

Any chance of a video where you deliberately explode the fuse?

David Glover-Aoki

All my external cables at home are SWA twin & earth. Never liked the idea of relying on the armour for earth.

Clive, why no bonding bushings or lock washers, they seem a lot easier what what you are describing, <a href="https://www.garvinindustries.com/stainless-steel-products/fittings/stainless-steel-locknuts/lnss-50" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.garvinindustries.com/stainless-steel-products/fittings/stainless-steel-locknuts/lnss-50</a> <a href="https://www.homedepot.com/p/Halex-2-1-2-in-Rigid-Insulated-Metallic-Grounding-Bushing-95225/100188208?cm_mmc=Shopping%7CG%7CBase%7CD27E%7C27-6_CONDUIT-BOXES-FITTINGS%7CNA%7CPLA%7C71700000034238990%7C58700003946879308%7C92700031954573769&amp;gclid=CjwKCAjwiurXBRAnEiwAk2GFZgVNczreWLeV_wQ43FW6q-PWmvmG075NnEOLQLLWNYb7wh_KkPAC-RoCnWsQAvD_BwE&amp;dclid=CJCezuSuidsCFUZ6YgodGlIONg" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.homedepot.com/p/Halex-2-1-2-in-Rigid-Insulated-Metallic-Grounding-Bushing-95225/100188208?cm_mmc=Shopping%7CG%7CBase%7CD27E%7C27-6_CONDUIT-BOXES-FITTINGS%7CNA%7CPLA%7C71700000034238990%7C58700003946879308%7C92700031954573769&amp;gclid=CjwKCAjwiurXBRAnEiwAk2GFZgVNczreWLeV_wQ43FW6q-PWmvmG075NnEOLQLLWNYb7wh_KkPAC-RoCnWsQAvD_BwE&amp;dclid=CJCezuSuidsCFUZ6YgodGlIONg</a> the flimsy looking copper thing has me worried, plus, steel wire as the neutral conductor.... no thanks... They do things funny over there.

Michael Gilchrest

A ground rod won’t ground your outlets.... most houses in the us have the neutral bonded to the ground at the service (meterbase).

Michael Gilchrest

Wow! My entire house has a 200 amp panel (120 volts, here in the US.) I don't use nearly that much but that's what I've got. The house isn't properly grounded, so I bought a grounding rod but haven't driven it into the ground yet because I don't quite know *exactly* where the mains conduit comes in from the street. I don't want to accidentally drive a grounding rod through the mains supply! That would end very badly: mostly for me.

Martel DuVigneaud

Oh you must have had good weather, as it sounds like a window or door was open. I could hear birds chirping. Not a bad thing.

Yet another thing learned from your videos. Now when some one asks for a jubilee clip I will know what they are talking about and not look at them sideways.
