This is a nice idea. It's basically a panel indicator with a digital readout that shows the supply voltage. One of these on each phase would be useful for supply diagnostics.

Surely they aren't filled with a bunch of large MOVs? Western brands are at least 10-20 times more expensive than the ones from China, I really wonder why.
2017-11-21 13:18:56 +0000 UTCI just bought a couple of similar voltage indicators for plugging in to a car cigar lighter socket, they also use the red LED display and it looks like they could be the same inside. I'm wondering how much current they draw as the sockets in one car don't turn off with the ignition.

As you were tearing them down I'm just thinking how well they can be stripped and placed into unlikely places that might not have the back clearance for the complete assembly. Neato! Yeah I jumped on a few of these before the popularity price spike.
