As a Brit I used to think I liked “spicy” or hot foods. Vindaloo? Pah. Breakfast. Then I went to Thailand and tried street food in a non-tourist place. Holy crap. Eyes puffed up. Go deaf. Feel floaty and weird. And that’s no illicit substances just the normal food. Great fun. Especially the next day. ಠ_ಠ

Clive, I live in California and some of the food I've had here would probably put you in the hospital. I LIKE spicy but the wife of my landlord makes a homemade Salsa that makes my hair ache.

Yeah, being ex-mil (40+ years ago) I like these occasional vids just to see how each nation's MRE change over time. When on NATO exercises we always used to swap them to see who had the nicest. My favourite were Italian (great rehydrated pasta dishes), German (wicked saurkraut and spicy sausage) but while I did try the Norwegian ones I can't remember a thing about them. That implies that it was average. My least favourite was French strangely as I generally like French cooking. I found our British ones basic but OK. I liked the US ones for all the little extra 'luxuries' they used to pack in them.
