Early new year/MRE Ralfy Colab.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oikrxdQnYv8

My brother and I decided to do a collaboration video on Boxing day.  So here it is (a bit early) with a Russian Military MRE.

Early new year/MRE Ralfy Colab.

Comments

"This week on the Ralphy and Clive Show, the boys have dinner and discuss the Russian diet"

Phil Collins

Wonder which of the packets reads, "Vermin repellent. DO NOT EAT!" in Russian... "Mmmm... has a nice sort of apple flavor with just a hint of cyanide" says Ralphy, just prior to going face down in the processed cheese spread.

Daddy Bearcat

Tell us the truth Clive... That was the third or possibly fourth bottle of vodka...

Scott Miller

Many American crackers are also way too salty. Grits is a wheat thing. That meat brick looks like SPAM (stuff posing as meat) or SCRAPPLE (don't ask, it doesn't taste good at all).

Dustin

I really looks cold where you guys are sitting, but I guess that adds to the Russian food ration realistic experience. ;)

Because Why-Nerd

Fantastic to see a video with both of you again and that looked really good, tempted to get one to try myself. Happy new year to both of you.

Matt Tester

I think the Russian MRE's included a liver pate and something equally as rank :D enjoy

Great video; hope you'll both have a great 2018!

Paul Schuur

So, when are we going to see Ralfy's Vodka Review channel?

You guys should do that again as it was entertaining and fun! I wish you all an entertaining and fun new year!

Michael Thompson

I like it when you two get together, very entertaining. Happy New Year guys, hope you had a good Christmas..

Richard Boyce

Grits are made from corn. It is a breakfast staple food for the southern parts of the USA.

Charles Bruckner

Have you ever seen "Crazy Russian Hacker" do MRE's, if not take a look, very interesting.

i think the rice is a type of porridge they eat for breakfast, and they eat that fatty meat cold or hot with the crackers

Steven Cox

i rate that standard russian vodka here in Australia, its also very cheap

Steven Cox

One other observation. It is interesting to me that most of the Eastern European/Russian MREs I have seen reviewed include pâté. It must be a staple food in that part of the world. It is not very popular here in America. In the part of the country where I grew up, it was seen as kind of a posh/eccentric thing to eat.

Cheers, and Happy New Year to you and Ralfy from America. I love your collaborations with your brother — the natural comedy of sibling rivalry kept me laughing.

A pleasant holiday season dinner with family. A foot soldier couldn't ask for more. Wishing a healthy and happy New Year!

Wish you and Ralfy and happy and prosperous New Year!

Rand Gray

Regarding Ralfy's comment apropos of grits: at least in the US grits are actually made from coarsely ground corn and then boiled in water. Ideally served at breakfast with a pat of butter over the grits, alongside eggs and bacon. Sort of a corny take on pinheads ( a favorite at our house).

Rand Gray

I was going to ask the same thing.

Chris Muncy

Christ, I can see Ralfy's breath; how cold is it inside that house?
