Fibre optic picture.

Sorry for the gap in videos, I've been in Glasgow for a week. While I was here I bought a rather neat framed canvas picture with integrated fibre optic lighting, and thought it would be interesting to open it and see how it's assembled.

Hi Last week I bought the same picture however it has different electrics with 2 LED that flash in a sequence with a nice effect. Here is a 4sec clip of the snow picture flashing https://youtu.be/Ubj6TeZALNk The COB circuit did have another pad, I move one of the LED wire to the empty pad and it was not as pleasing. One day I will have a look at the 3 pads to check the sequence. Bought in Cwmbran, Wales a store called What! Stores = what-shop.co.uk "TAPESTRIES" it was on sale for £5 Below just reminiscing waffle TODO- I wanted to make a sailing navigation chart with all the navigation lights as LED, I saw one in a pub in west Wales back in 2005 something like this https://captnmike.com/2016/12/11/aids-to-navigation-demonstration-display/ Today I guess I would use Arduino to produce all the sequences and optic fibre to all the lights in the Bristol Channel. Happy times navigating at night in 1985 with no GPS thingummy just charts, compass, radio direction and looking out for navigational aids https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/electron_seafarer_range_seafix_200.html Seafarer 3 depth sounder Marine Brass Ship Log Meter and a roll of izal toilet paper to mark the depths over distance We managed to find St Kilda shrouded in fog I guess today we have come a long way with technology because back then out yacht radio did not have the range to reach the coastguard John

That's... different. Most snow I've seen doesn't glow like that. Is it titled, "Christmas in Chernobyl"? ;p Might be nicer for something like a picture with fireworks in the sky, or maybe running lights on a big ship (the Enterprise?). It was worth the price of admission to learn what the numbers on button cells mean. I had no idea; I figured they were arbitrary, or maybe had something to do with the capacity or voltage. That will be useful. So how does one get to Glasgow from your home? Boat? Hope you're having an enjoyable trip.

No worries. Whenever there is a gap in videos I just figure that you are on the road or working or some combination thereof.

A slow color change led would look nice, maybe even split the fiber in to two or three bundles each with their own.

Kadah

It's not too bad in real life. And would get dimmer with either NiMh cells or alkalines that had been in for a while.

Big Clive

That is a really nice effect. Would be even nicer if the LEDs weren't quite as bright.
