Repairing a dead UV curing light.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_LcwHqBm0k

Someone mentioned that they did a rechargeable version of the UV curing/exposing light, so I thought I'd take a look at one. It arrived dead, so that's even better, since we get to fix it.

Thanks so much for posting that. Hugely entertaining.

I SHALL NOT BE DEFEATED BY THIS CHEAP PIECE OF JUNK! ;)

"Normal" people who buy something that doesn't work just complain, us special folks just roll up our sleeves and reach for a screwdriver. The fun I got recently from fixing the integral torch on a power bank that arrived faulty was hard to explain to anyone who doesn't understand, in fact the "see fault -understand fault -fix fault" mentality is something that no non-technical person can grasp. Whether it's a dud bulb, a blown fuse, a loose wire, a dud transistor, an incorrect line of code, whatever, it still gives that little moment of joy which is what gets me through the day.

Something that I can't really afford or need but ordered anyway :D

It was me! Thanks for obtaining this item and doing the video about it. An interesting point to note is that in the ebay listing for this, one of the photos shows it being used on someone's nails with the legs folded flat. You can see the leds shining through the plastic, so it must be translucent to some extent. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mini-Portable-9W-6W-LED-UV-Nail-Gel-Curing-Lamp-Nail-Gel-Polish-Dryer-GW2/272810158940
