European candy-fest.

Thanks to Ian and Attila for sending some sweets from Germany, Slovakia and the Czech republic.  The flavours are diverse and very interesting with some ultra extreme salty licorice thrown into the mix too.

Big Clive sugar rush due any moment .... !

You had me at the screen shot. The reaction to the black Chili Gütaren was priceless. The idea of putting chili in a persistent licorice candy grosses me out and I love chili, especially in tacos!

We're veering Ashens-wards, but still fun :)

Phil Collins

Ralfy tried one today and promptly spat it out into the bin.

The cost of sending anything from Oz would be significantly higher than what was in the box. It is very British food where you are though.

Big Clive

Now I want to send Clive a box of random junk food from down under. Sadly it's very hard to buy non-English local junk food here so it would all be a bit obvious.

Moz in Oz

I got the impression that the beans pictures on the packets were coffee beans, interesting that they didn't come across as coffee flavoured. Regardless, you made me very hungry watching this as I would happily scoff any of those.

Matt Tester

LOL the Chili ones and the honest reaction had my rolling Clive! :D

BergRD

Kastany reminds me of the Dutch word ‘kastanje’ which means chestnut, so maybe the filling was made of chestnut?

Robert K

Yes, to be fair maybe someone should send Clive a box of exotic antacids. ;)

Michael Thompson

In our next episode, Clive experiences extreme indigestion... ;)

Daddy Bearcat

Please record Ralfy's reaction to the salty ones :D

This would have been great video to do with your brother lol. Now if I could get some Texas BBQ out your way that would actually last, I would.

Chris Muncy

Yes indeed. A classic school joke.

Big Clive

OT I believe the answer was "squirrel shit" oh how we laughed. Simpler times

Demolished Man

That's weird. It actually comes across as a marzipan type texture.

Big Clive

I remembered the "What's got a hazelnut in every bite" jingle afterwards.

Big Clive

The marzapan-y bars are actually soybean based.

Rob Clark

Think the Deli bar with the nuts most looks like a Topic bar.
