Really impressive Xmas LED panel.

I have to admit I took a real shine to this panel when I saw it in a big B&Q DIY store on the Isle of Man.  The construction is very streamlined, but also very rugged.

Despite being mass produced, this is a really impressive panel.

Power consumption is 25W, 105mA with good power factor (0.995) due to the resistive current limiting.

Really impressive Xmas LED panel.

No say it more. And say “buy a Ferrari” straight after.

I've heard this is happening a lot. I'll have to try saying let's ehhh a bit less.

Alexa strikes again! When you say "let's-a" in your videos, it triggers my Alexa device to respond with sometimes humorous results.

Cool, thanks! There are a few of your older vids I haven't watched yet, not many though.

Thanks.. Iam still learning. I was always under the impression that to calculate the value of the resistor using a bridge to use the 340 VDC not the 240 RMS, This is new to me and its kewl to learn something new. Thanks again Clive!

Even when rectified it's still an average of 240V until you add a smoothing capacitor and then it will rise to the peak voltage.

I took some of that apart in a video. <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZF07D_T2Ug" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AZF07D_T2Ug</a>

That one is pretty nice! Christmas lights have evoked and are evolving very quickly.

Was in 'The Range' in Kilmarnock at the weekend, they have a fewof this style of decoration but they look like neon tubes, the light is very smooth and uniform, made me wonder how they do it, can't be actual neon, must be super diffused LEDs I would imagine. I don't do outside crimbo lights but tempted to by one to see what's inside!

If its 240V RMS after a full wave bridge isn't it something like 340 VDC ? I don't fully get why you used RMS, Does it mean its not rectified? Iam still learning could ya explain why you used 240 rms? Thanks in advance, I hope its not a stupid question.
