Another piezo air pump.

Having near enough destroyed the previous pump I decided to get another for experiments with copper chloride etchant regeneration.

This pump has very slightly different circuitry that casts some light on the first ones resistor weirdness.

Another piezo air pump.

I learned it as "Pee-A-Zo" in chemistry, but that was in Tennessee, so take it with a grain of salt. https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/pronunciation/english/piezoelectric

Copper Chloride is an acid I can’t imagine Cody uses a lot, so I doubt he has a video on it. I would have guessed NileRed would have a video, but the closest “chemist” video I could find in a quick search is Nurd Rage https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=V8mHiFYmlBc

Seconding the above comment that the foaming is likely caused by some contaminant in the acid. The stuff that's used for cleaning masonry is surely not "lab grade", I can't see some minor contamination bothering a water-blasting rig too much. Cody would be a good person to ask about what you might add to the solution to reduce the foaming without changing the chemical properties too much. Or any of the other youtube science bods I guess. :)

You could bridge out that inductor and see if it does indeed make noises.

Fun fact that I learned from a comment here on Patreon: that "strange slippy feeling" is caused by the alkaline surfactants in the washing powder converting the triglycerides in your sebum ("skin oils") into soap. It is basically the same reaction used in the first part of the commercial soap production process, known as "saponification".

Washing machine powder (possibly try adding a small amount) I think it has powdered PTFE dust or something that stops it foaming so does carpet cleaner, I wonder if that would stop the bubbles. When I clean my aluminium cooker hood filters I use washing powder it is a good degreaser. The strange slippy feeling you get from the washing powder will not wash off you have to wipe it from your hands. John

It shouldn't be foaming; I'd be very suspicious of contaminants. In case you wanted to try making your own: what I did was follow the CuSO4 + HCl instructions here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8mHiFYmlBc . Just be careful about the fumes -- it'll create a layer of rust on nearby metal things very quickly.

Just what I needed.......another Clive video to keep me from getting to bed :D

Let us know if you figure a way to get cheap Copper Chloride etching to work with one of these. That's a great idea

I keep hearing it as "pizza- electric pump". Mmmmm, electric pizza...
