Manx beard club Q&A?

What do you guys think of the Manx beard club videos?  They're basically two friends who I meet up with every couple of weeks for some beer, and we occasionally make a random video.

One of the things we thought about doing was a questions and answers type video while we partake of very dubious alcoholic potions.  Some things to note:-

Kevin works as a lineman with the islands power distribution company.

Juan is a local town commissioner and works in the offshore banking industry.

Both of them play rugby.

What sort of questions would you ask?

I like the MBC, especially if you’re eating foreign foods with copious amounts of questionable spirits :)

Robert K

MBC, I do find them entertaining BUT I hope, not as a replacement to your technical ones. I think seeing three bloke's, drinking alcohol would get a tad tedious after a while

Neil Tonks

I think they are a great addition to the range of videos and, whilst I prefer the technical stuff, they are enjoyable like the videos on making / consuming various foods / ration packs and backstage at the Edinburgh Tatoo. It seems natural to have some q&a sessions so we can get to know the guys better.

John Russell

So where do I find an address to send goodies for beardly review?

I like the MBC videos and it seems the OBVIOUS questions everyone has so far overlooked - "Why did you grow a beard, and why do you keep it?" ;)

The Manx Beard Club is a great thing. I love the videos! Seems so familiar... :)

I always think of questions for the next Q&A, but I never remember them when the time comes. I need to write them down.

Jeremy Impson

for kevin: out of 10, how liney are your lines, 10 being the most liney

Manx beard club vids are great. More info on the Amiga would be great 😜

Search my channel for Manx beard club.

Big Clive

where are these videos?

Michael Gilchrest

Great idea! I have a a Q for the owner of the Amiga 500 in the background of a previous video. Whats it's story?

Wim

Kevin is indeed the lineman for the county. And I have seen him working on the main road.

Big Clive

Bring it on, great fun!

I want them to be the help desk at Patreon as they struggle sending out VAT updates (maybe u don't get these emails on the the Isle of Man) : "Here's a question from Val, self employed from Raith. Should she virtualise her income from the recent radio gig in order to offset it against the cost of the new bench which she bought on Ebay . Will the new border down the middle of the Irish Sea have any impact on the returns policy.

I give them a thumbs up. Not as entertaining as a teardown, but still very much worth watching. Great laughs, too.

Chuck Kirchner

So you're a lineman for the county? Do you work the main road?

Michael Thompson

The interactions between the three of you, with your very different personalities, make each video quite entertaining. No fake rehearsed scripts or silly camera tricks, just three lads shooting the bull, and fun even though I'm not there with you. Keep 'em coming.

They’re fun

Lyall Moffitt

We certainly couldn't record what we talk about at the pub....

Big Clive

MBC is great, just keep them coming :)

You guys don't need to put all your fun on YouTube for our enjoyment. I hope you keep some fun for yourselves. It shouldn't be turned into "work" for the internet's consumption. Keep if fun you you! We'll take the crumbs.

Robert Sanges

It shouldn't really get that dry and itchy. Try using an anti-dandruff shampoo with zinc pyrithione in it.

Big Clive

How the hell do you get lotion to the dry itchy skin underneath the beard? I'm only about a year into my beard and the answer to this mystery still escapes me! I've tried oils and creams but the hair seems to soak all that up. Meanwhile I'm sitting here looking at a scouring pad going "Yeah, that'd probably feel good"....

It's always fun when you guys get together. It's more of the "Human side" of Big Clive that we see. I also liked your behind the scenes and interviews of the Tattoo.

Shaun Runham

Definitely more random vids with the Manx Club. Have they met your brother? Try to get them in a video together, the internet might implode.

David S. Grop

I really should get all my machines fixed up and working perfectly for a pinball night.

Big Clive

I would like to see more of Kevin! OOOOO a lineman!

This is a great idea Clive! I'd like to hear a bit about Kevin and Juan's backgrounds. Where did they grow up, how did they get into their line of work? What do they do at work? That sort of thing.

Second this. I was going to write, "How did you meet Clive?" --- Also would like to add the simple open-ended question, "What's wrong with Clive?"

All good fun, very enjoyable. I’ve got some Canadian stuff to send to the beard club at some point. Unfortunately (?) it’s not really disgusting, but I’ll see if i can find something appropriately gross to add in.

The Griffiths Family

YES! The Manx beard club videos are so enjoyable! You all have a great chemistry together. I humbly submit these questions. For all three, "What was or is your favorite goto comfort food?" "What sports did each of you play as kids?" "Do any of you speak more than one language?" (I wanted to show my respect for all of you and translate my questions into British English, not certain the translator did it correctly!) Anyway....here goes! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- YES! The Manx beard club videos r so enjoyable! thou all hae a stonking chemistry together. Do you accept honourary members? :-) I used to live in the Isle of Man and have a beard.

Howard Simons

I enjoy them. Loved the gusto with which they sampled the surströmming. For most people the event is over once they have dared to open the tin.

Kevin Leah (AKA Zoinks!)

Keep them up Clive, brilliant videos, as others have said you each bring out a different quality of each other.

Keith Pawson

I love the videos the three of you do together. You all have a great rapport and interaction. As to questions, what I want know most is how did you end up there on the Isle of Man? Were you born there? Or in the case of Clive did you work or family bring you there? It seems an interesting place and I’d like to know more about the people who live there.

Ross Clark

Rugby 😍 I actually quite enjoy them popping by!

This may sound silly - but I wonder if they are any good at pinball machine games? Clive has an pinball so perhaps the Manx Beard Club Pinball Wizzard contest?

Nuts 'n' Proud

I've just had the greatest idea... The Manx Beard Club should get together with the Technical Difficulties (Tom Scott et al.) and have a trivia night.

David K

This is a great idea! Questions: How did you meet Clive? What's the funniest thing you've seen Clive do? What's the most dangerous thing you've seen Clive do (bonus if you were part of it)?

Roy Eltham

I don't have any questions in mind, but I have enjoyed every one of the Manx beard club videos, and would welcome more. Since Raymond called it out, I also enjoy the Ralphy videos (though I enjoy the MBC more than Ralphy, sorry Ralphy).

Yep, Ah likes 'em too. Be great ir Juan would give some advice on how to hide money in offshore accounts. Bet Kevin could show us how to get free electricity.

If you guys could quit your jobs and do anything anywhere in the world, with the one restriction being that you had to do it together as a group 24/7/365, what would you do? I assume the answer wouldn't involve surstromming.

David K

I enjoy the entertainment. I also enjoy the Ralphy videos. I enjoy the everyday sayings used, that here in Merica are not. I feel well traveled without traveling. That's just me tho. C'mon y'all let him know.

I enjoyed them. You play off each other well, and I feel I'm being included in the fun rather than watching people who are wrapped up in each other too much to bother being entertaining. How does the Isle of Man get its electricity, by the way? Do you have your own power plant or does it all come by undersea cables?
