USB flashlight adapter mods.

These little things are neat.  I've provided an eBay search link in the video description on YouTube, so if you want some I'd suggest grabbing them from the cheaper listings now before I release the video and the price inevitably shoots up.

You might also want to grab some 1W or 3W "beads" (as the Chinese sellers call them) to convert the colour to one of your own choice.

Yuni make excellent high-CRI led as individual leds, COBs, tape, modules etc. - but they are pretty expensive. Soraa are another company that makes high CRI leds, but again, pricey. The new Philips "ExpertColor" range are meant to be fairly good (95 CRI) - and much more affordable - worth hacking perhaps. A lot will depend on what your project is going to do..

I've a couple of these - love the machining.. One thing bugs me - when you plug it into a power-bank, it always "hangs over the edge" - Aaaaarrrgghh. Have already looked to see if the USB plug could be reversed - doesn't look like it..

Do you have any suggestions for finding LED modules (COB, arrays, or even singles) with a measured CRI? I have a project idea for a battery-powered dimmable lamp but finding 90+ CRI LEDs in a hackable format is proving difficult... I've started thinking maybe I should just buy a whole bunch and mix and match until colors start looking right, but there must be a better way.

Unless you have a dollar balance there is a slight extra charge for the conversion and unfavourable exchange rate. But it's still often cheaper to buy from either the USA or Canadian sites.

Odd. Searching on eBay.com and eBay.co.uk gives different results. Cheapest on the .com is less than half the cheapest UK price, at least through the mobile app. But they still ship to UK. I'm going to have to modify my behaviour now..

Wait? You mean we're not supposed to want that tat? *pout*

I am increasingly annoyed with the Chinese eBay sellers who list multi-item listings, but one of the items is something that costs $0.99 - often some kind of keychain tat, so that when you sort by "price" those listings appear higher up. I recently discovered this user script you can install in your browser to completely hide those listings from the results. It's very useful: <a href="https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/28968-pricerangeitemhider" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/28968-pricerangeitemhider</a>

Which is why we keep watching, he gets to be naughty before we do, so we know which naughty is best naughty. :)

Why do you keep "telling" us to buy these things? Bad Clive, naughty Clive!! :D
