USB rechargeable penlight.

This looks like one of the little penlights doctors use to peer into your orifices.

It's actually very neat inside.    Much better than I was expecting, and should be fairly easy to customise.

The original is very good. Some of the copies are a bit flimsy though.

Clive when you featured that spudger a few times I had therm purchased for our techs where I work. I love them they rock!

Wouldn't that tiny 4.7 ohm resister get quit very hot when it's conducting 100mA?

Paul Schuur

A lot of new cases are so immaculately designed that you would think the seam is just a slight moulding seam or that it's been ultrasonically welded. Once you finally get a spudger in the case unclips. But some are very prone to the clips breaking off in the process.

Big Clive

I have a few spudgers some like yours and a "Stanley tape belt clip" for heavy levering; girls flat hair clips work, a few come in handy while burgling your way into TV remotes that keep closing again as you try to work around the case,,, about that time you discover a screw also holding the case shut. BTW I have an old PC DELL desktop case "no tool needed" easy thumb screw to get the case side off BUT needed three hands and a knee to get it back on ;-) Clive what is the worst item that you tried to open ? Reminded me of a machinist I knew a long time ago he made two metal boxes in different metals, at room temp you could if you were quick lift out the inner box, but if you handled it and it warmed up the expansion of one of the material would lock them in place. I guess he got the idea from the Gridiron pendulum clock 1726. John

Apparently quite a lot. (276mAh)

Big Clive

Super exaggerated intensity and range values as always. The battery was tested and came in at 276mAh. But that might improve if it was cycled a few times.

12000 lumens! Really?

You can get 10 of them for $2.40 each. Christmas presents for next Christmas solved!

550 mAh

We stopped on the way to get Bourbon and Onion Rings. \*passes them around\*

That's handy - must have one. Found it on uk Ebay for £2.99 (less than 4USD?). The battery is 500Am (mA lost in translation I guess) and it can last for 3 hours! It can light up to half a kilometre! Must have one. 8 000lm Really? I don't understand light measurement - lumen, lux, candela, but possibly an led focussed through a lens might give a nice big number. Maybe when Big Clive lets us know the measured battery capacity he could also throw some light on the subject of lumens!

You'd be horrified at what some people would pay for something like that, after visiting their favorite quack website. The first version of something like that I saw was just an aluminum tube, Red LED sticking out one end with the leads curled up so they touched the side of the tube and the head of first AAA battery you put in it and a cheap switch screwed in the other end, for $99. That website would probably be charging $400+ and touting higher power (after putting in a Red LED) and being rechargeable. And people would buy them.

450mah!

650mAh is a fairly standard value for e-cigarette batteries, but highly dependent on how much the factory wanted to cheap out.

I am glad you waited for us to show up. Sorry we were late.

Going by the eBay listings they are for a lanyard.

Could the holes at the bottom be for a two pronged removal ”fork”?
