This is an interesting component available from eBay. I'm not sure how easy it would be to use it in a project. It wouldn't be suitable for continuous rotation like a slip ring. Just for making a convenient electrical connection to a load. It would also require accurate alignment. The kettles that use these often have a slightly domed base to ensure alignment and support.
I've put a link to an eBay search in the video description on YouTube. They do different types.
