Cordless kettle style base.

The curse of a slow Isle of Man Internet connection has struck again with an excruciatingly slow 4G upload speed, so here's a short video while the intended longer video (just 20 minutes long!) takes several hours to upload.

This is an interesting component available from eBay.  I'm not sure how easy it would be to use it in a project.  It wouldn't be suitable for continuous rotation like a slip ring.  Just for making a convenient electrical connection to a load.  It would also require accurate alignment.  The kettles that use these often have a slightly domed base to ensure alignment and support.

I've put a link to an eBay search in the video description on YouTube.  They do different types.

Ebay? I assumed you'd been dumpster diving round the back of Strix. They're one of the worlds leading producers of ...drum roll... kettle parts and based on the Isle of Man.

That actually explains why they ended up at Poundland and not for sale in the US. Not being from the US myself, I didn't even notice the number of stars was wrong!

Those flags had 59 stars on them. Wonder where the extra 9 states are. Maybe they're from the future. Or maybe I haven't been paying attention.

Why would poundland stock U.S. election paraphernalia? I feel like I should apologize for some reason....
