Poundland LED neon ornaments. (Very good.)

Back in Glasgow - and one of the things I spotted while browsing in Poundland was these neon-style LED frames.  (£5 each)

The construction is extremely neat with very diffused light over the whole surface.  The units use a set of two AA cells for quite  long run time, and the LEDs seem well matched so the intensity reduces in an even manner as the batteries discharge.

Sorry to hear you're having health issues. YouTube can sure help pass time in situations like that.

[My blocked contend referred to the Black Pussy powerbank - my mental confusion in err posting here ] I have been in hospital for the past 2 weeks Bronchitis causing my AF heart more problems, came home last night to watch this. Blocked content on the hospital free wifi via a charity, I will be making them a donation. I could not sleep until 4 am started to choke if I was not sat bolt upright until the tablets stopped making me cough. Clive thanks for your other content and other woodworking vids kept me going. Slept 10hrs last night normally I get by on 4hrs, but had bronchitis since beginning of April and have hardly slept since. I think I need stronger antibiotics. John

It looks very good. Very much the linearity of real neon.

Diffusion is always an issue with little LED point sources to deal with. I really like how it's being done here. It's really smooth looking!

Two might fit in with a bit of modification.

Big Clive

I've not seen them at Dealz, but they may turn up later.

Big Clive

They seem quite easy to modify for an 18650 or two, too. Would they fit under the plinth? Suitable battery compartments seem readily available

I want a couple of those for the man-cave, and rig them to a microwave switch and a mains transformer. Neat!

Have got a couple of these, very bright, was thinking of putting a resistor from the batteries just to calm it down and prolong the life of the batteries.

I know you got these in Poundland in Glasgow, but have you seen them in Dealz in IOM? Just hoping in case they also sell them in Dealz Ireland. Might ask Dealz online - would save me a 50 mile roundtrip lol
